Is it true that the 7kg hand carry limit thingy rarely gets enforced?

that depends more on the airport than airlines per se....some airports are very strict about the hand carrys....

generally klia and heathrow are not too strict.....

Thanks!

Lurking around the older corners of this thread. One thing I found quite interesting was, realising that his place is centrally heated, one dude smuggled in a portable heater. Anyone planning to do that? tongue.gif Strictly forbidden though.

What course are you looking at? Just pick a decent uni that's recognised. Country is personal preference.

Hi guys,

Just submitted my Visa application. Just a reminder here. If you ever make any mistakes on some particular details on the visa application, you can just use a pen to cross them out and do your corrections on the side. They'll still accept the application as long as it is a minor mistakes. However, be sure to point them out to your interviewer.

Note: You don't have to cancel your appointment or whatsoever to redo the application unless you apply the wrong visa category. Good luck guys.

Hey there,

May I know how did u confirm that this is true? I'm asking because I left out a country from the list of countries I visited(it was Switzerland and its immi dept didn't stamp on my passport) but I already submitted my application and book the appointment.

I'm kinda worried if that detail has to be included and whether I still have the chance to correct it.

I'm not sure about your case. As for my case, I wrote my old passport's expiry date incorrectly and the guy at VFS told me to cross it out and write the correct date on the side and he said it's fine.

I believe yours is minor too as you'll be submitting your original passport as a supporting document.

Thanks for your explanation with clarity biggrin.gif I guess I will have to do the same thing while I'm at the VFS. Nonetheless I shall give them a call just in case other forumers encounter the same problem.

I was worried like you as well! I know how it feels like! I searched all over Google for answers and I found plenty of people doing different kind of mistakes. You can try it out yourself. Just Google (Mistakes on UK Visa Application). I think minor mistakes like that shouldn't be a problem unless you chose the wrong Visa category and wrong calculations in your financial supporting part.

Haha that's indeed a funny thought. But unless you've got your own personal freezer, I doubt there's space to betul-betul stock up. I'd buy a lot and belanja some friends though =)

Yup, that's all you need. Took only a 5-10 minute wait for me to collect my visa.

Depends on which college/university you are in and food and accommodation per month about 700 pounds per month outside London.
