Do not in any way try to emulate the North American sort.

I'm trying to dig out a small piece of advice I've gotten from the admissions committee, will PM to you once I can locate it.

If you don't mind, can send it to me too? Thank you so much.

Hey guys,

I have a question, comparing the expenses (inclusive of everything except tuition fee) approximately how much I can save from a year of study at Warwick / Cranfield compare to LSE, Imperial, Manchester. Since their master is almost the same price.
*
LSE will cost you prolly about 1k pounds more per month as its in london. Generally living costs outside london is reduced by about 800~1k.

Manchester it seems is the 3rd more affordable city in UK. Well at least thats what they told me at the pre-departure briefing the other day.

Drive to Subang Jaya KTM, head to KL Sentral and take LRT from Ampang Park. Journey by rail + walking to Wisma MCA should take an hour or less, but give yourself more time in case of unexpected delays. I find rail wayy more convenient than driving there, plus can lepak around KL afterward =)

Hi guys, i just received a mail stated: your visa will be despatched shortly. Passports can normally be collected from the Visa Application Centre after 3 days depending on which country you applied from.
Does this means i have to go n collect it 3 days later or i can go to collect it now?

Just to add, the walking time from ampang park to wisma MCA is about 3 minutes, so its incredibly convenient to just use public transport.

This just means Manila has dispatched your passport to Malaysia.
You will receive another email when VFS has received your passport and its ready for collection

find a travel agency that you know i guess. and compare prices. i used some travel agency in taipan (selangor) for my flights.

guys, i don't get this. for a rail card, you are paying for the card to get discounts on the tickets right? its not like an all you can ride kind or touch n go kind of cards right? just wondering coz i doubt i will use the train or bus as much as you guys in london.

this is weird, paying to get discounts. like singapore you buy a card to store credit and pay less for rides without having to pay monthly fees for the card.

it depends, if you're the type who like (or planning( to go around UK a lot using the train, 16-25 railcard (typical one that's used by students) saves a lot. £30 a year (or £70 for 3 years) and you can get 1/3 discount for the train tickets. Even I who rarely leaves Bath, that railcard already saves me a lot for the past 2 years.

You'll probably use the train a lot if you plan on visiting any friends around or travelling during breaks.
Depending on which clubs you join in uni, you might also travel using rail.
But yea, really you have to do the maths yourself and determine if you'll actually save more getting the card
