Intel Dual Core E5400 2.7ghz |
OC 3.6 ghzMSI G41M-P28
2.00 GB ram 800mhz 6-6-6-15 |
OC 7-7-7-20 (FSB/DRAM 1:1.20)<--this CL7 at what speed? 800MHz? if default is 800Mhz CL6, OC should be 800Mhz CL5, not CL7. or remain CL6 but at higher speed, >800Mhz. since you are using ddr3, is it your module default at 800Mhz? normal ddr3 nowadays is 1333mhz CL9HD4870 512mb
CM PSU 500W.

<--CM extreme is not a true power psu but its still good psu compare to chap ayam one.......
so now stable at 3.6 ghz
<--how do you confirm this setting is stable.. any stress tools? OCCT? prime95 3 hours minimum?QUOTE(THE ZUL @ Mar 4 2012, 08:49 AM)
i try OC with 2 diff RAM.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
1. Kingston 1333 2gb ddr3
2. Team Elite 1333 4gb ddr3 withheatsink
team elite can't even pass over 3.4. fail to reboot <---- got prob when DRAM frequency over than 1000 mhz
kingston passed till 3.7ghz fail at 3.8ghz
both ram 1333 mhz but diff brand. same freq.
i keep maintain my DRAM frequency around 800-1000 mhz. is it goood? my max dram 1333 mhz.
am i doing right?
it is recommended to use 2 identical ram when OC. diff stick combination can make the OC not stable. try increase the vdimm into 1.65V. 1333Mhz should can go up to 1600Mhz.
btw, what is your current mobo. OC mobo have special features at bios, not same as normal low end mobo that doesn't come with OC configuration
