this is all i can sum up of the famed Lucas-Poulsen partnership
Meireles created more in 15 minutes than Poulsen or Lucas did all match.

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Sep 13 2010, 12:59 AM) I said not too long ago that every signing was welcomed with a great degree of exuberance. I'm not sure how many had actually seen them play before signing but they are not world beaters to please manage your expectations. Poulsen was never going to be a Mascherano. Konchesky isn't going to be a Patrice Evra. These are stop gap signings. Expected la... Check where Poulsen came from... Impossible for him to be creative. |

Of all the new players we bought in this summer, Poulsen is the ONLY one that failed to impress me... What the hell are we playing an uncle that cant even hold and pass the ball well? Yea, screw Lucas but at least he makes better passes than Uncle Poulsen!
As for the back four, the only one who can held their head up after this match is Konchesky. Surprisingly, he put in quite a performance.Solid and nice passing of ball. Skrtel and Carra partnership is screwed yet again. Talking about Skrtel, he made yet another stupid dragging mistake that would have caused us a penalty.Seriously, drop him..I would take Krygiakos/Agger anyday! |

tired of giving the tactics and review....one sentence...Liverpool played without imagination and movement ....and this is not first time....
the pattern is negatively same like previous match, except that Torres strike saved us the last time, and Reina's magic saved our blushes this time... very worrying......very worrying..... |

i blamed mostly on hodgson rather than players...when u put two CM with no creativity this is the result you'll get...and only made 2 changes sums up what Roy aim in this match...that is to get A POINT!!

reina - 10/10 konchesky - solid debut carragher - as his usual srktel - clueless at times johnson - good goin foward but suspect defending ivanovic - trying hard but to no avail poulsen - piece of crap talent lucas - canot pass like xabi, canot tackle like mash gerrard - off day? maxi - anonymous figure torres - rusty, damning body language, barca/madrid in mind? lol subs mireles - next game in line up pls mr roy agger - to cross or not to cross, CenterBack thinking dilemma roy verdict bringing fulham travel sickness together? LIVERPOOL verdict mid table team with mid table mentality? hope not |

Substitution is so late in the game !! Both wings played badly and RH didn't make changes.

it is not too late for Roy Hodgson to realise this mistake , experiment time is over.
I am confident , Gerrard will play on midfield role once Joey coming back from his suspension ,we need Yossy or Joe Cole those type of player to open opponent tight marking system in where I think Jovanovic and Maxi fail to do so. Even Carra and Skrtel struggle with Jerome pace and Konchesky? He have a good left foot but he seems in doubt to cross the ball to near post.Johnson play terrible today and have few bad 1st touch. Seriously sometimes I am tired seeing Lucas and Poulsen passing the ball back to defender and how Carra everytime shoot up the ball without looking at the front player. At first I thought Jova will eat Carr alive but nope ... quite a dissapointing match but hope something new will happen next week. while birmingham did played well for the game, today's match prove one thing, our team is slowly turning into a mid-table mentality team. Hesitant in executing counter attacks, obvious nervousness among our players, scurrying for balls throughout the game instead of organized marking and hold-up play, and many more.
and playing 2 players who went clueless upon having the ball on their feet won't help in any way. 4th game off the season, even though it's still early into the season, the sign is not encouraging. Hopefully the team will prove me wrong sooner rather than later. On a sidenote, would love to see the following lineup for the MU match Reina Johnson Carra Agger Konchesky Raul Gerrard Jova Cole Babel Torres |
