QUOTE(hexo @ Mar 9 2006, 10:10 PM) ![]() ![]() ![]() Is this what you mean by stepping? Currently it's set at 'normal' using the OCGuru. Yeah, I did try upping the voltage even up to 1.65. Still no go. I guess there most be a faulty component somewhere... sigh.. So you can increase the HTT of your cpu... (LDT 5X) X 200 HTT = 1000 ( will be x2 in motherboard so = 2000 Hypertransport already) Never go higher than 1000HTT or you won't have a stable oc |

AFAIK, mobo has itz own mechanism to reset its own setting(if they r capable to) if u OVER-overclock.. ahhahaha. meaning, the mobo kenot tahan already.
xplanation using metaphor: mum ask Johnny to wear the pink pants coz it looks nice. Johnny kenot tahan, once mum leave the room, he change into a Bermuda again. ahahahaha datz wat i think personally. correct me if i'm wrong guys.. my AN8 only behaves dat way when it is overclocked. not in stock setting. |

Guys, want to ask abt AN8 Fatal1ty SLi. Planning to upgrade my rig next week. these are wat i have in mind.
Mobo = Abit AN8 Fatal1ty SLi RAM = TCCD DDR600 Proc = Opty 146 gfx = 7600GT i've heard n read abt the AN8 1T memory probs but frm extremesystems n official abit forum, it only affect certain core; Venice, Winchester, San Diego. izzit true or opty is "1T memory problem free"? 1T issue normally happened when RAM running at 250Mhz above for 1:1 setting
if using divider, with lower frequecy of RAM, the problem will not happen.. as i tried it before This post has been edited by cyberian: Apr 2 2006, 01:23 AM |

I'm hoping opty not affected by this. btw, cyber, have u tried solution suggested in extremesys forum? n what bios u're using; modded 20 or official 20?if using divider, with lower frequecy of RAM, the problem will not happen.. as i tried it before suggested in extremesys forum set bypass mark to 2x |

Actually, running at 1T below 215 to 220HTT is quite okay for the ram. It also depends on what RAM you own. For example, I used the D43 ram with Fatality no issues upto 253HTT on 1:1.
However, when I changed to UCCC, the issues cropped up as above. I've tried 19 or even 20 bios, but issue remained. So, it's best to stay off this mobo and get something like DFI or Asus. The Asus A8N32SLI is running my UCCC now at 275HTT @ 1T. I also tried Winchester, Venice and Manchester, all are affected by this issue. QUOTE(satanhead2003 @ Apr 2 2006, 10:03 AM) |
