Guys, want to ask abt AN8 Fatal1ty SLi. Planning to upgrade my rig next week. these are wat i have in mind.

Mobo = Abit AN8 Fatal1ty SLi
RAM = TCCD DDR600
Proc = Opty 146
gfx = 7600GT

i've heard n read abt the AN8 1T memory probs but frm extremesystems n official abit forum, it only affect certain core; Venice, Winchester, San Diego. izzit true or opty is "1T memory problem free"?

1T issue normally happened when RAM running at 250Mhz above for 1:1 setting
if using divider, with lower frequecy of RAM, the problem will not happen.. as i tried it before sad.gif

How sad. I'm hoping opty not affected by this. btw, cyber, have u tried solution suggested in extremesys forum? n what bios u're using; modded 20 or official 20?

suggested in extremesys forum

Interesting story here. I email Abit regarding the 1T issue. Look what they respond :

QUOTE
Good day, Sir

Thank you for choosing ABIT products!

Regarding this case(can't OC to 250), due to LDT value is a transfer rate between AMD Platform and Northbridge Chipset. The default value is setting 200 x 5 =1000. So when FSB is setting at 250 x 5 =1250. It is over the chipset's limitation.

So in BIOS please refer this setting:
1.CPU FSB to 250
2.DDR frequency:333 -> indicate CPU:RAM -> 6:5
3.LDT set 4x

you can add some voltages on CPU & DRAM

The way i write it, hmmm. I tell them, i do oc the proper way, increasing voltage, lowering LDT and such. I oso give them links to "complained" at their official forum here http://forum.abit-usa.com/showthread.php?t=86928 and full length description on the 1T problem here http://www.maxitmag.co.uk/article.php?articleID=313. Even if i described the 1T problem wrongly, then, these two links should explained it. They sent me a second email n suggesting me to rma the mobo to taiwan.

cheers... I'm off wit abit.

This is what i've encounter abt Blue-Screen

Error Message : Bad_Pool_Memory_management
Ram hitting the limit. use A64 Tweaker to set divider (150,140,133,100 etc.) My mobo doesnt have "weird" divider, so have to use a64 tweaker or better, A64 info. More stable than A64 Tweaker.
http://rapidshare.de/files/18964143/A64Info.rar.html

Error Message : IRQ_less_or_equal
Increase chipset voltage 1 notch.

Ok, i have a problem here = ="
for the pass several days, my pc keep on having blue screens and from the looks of it, its would seem my Mobo(Fatal1ty an8) is dying =.="
Why did i suspect  my mobo? i have ask around of my frens and they say its posibly that it is the mobo, firstly blue screen after enabling Bitcomet, second is blue screen while playing "ragnarok online", thirdly is where the system reboots after i try to dail-up my connection(streamyx)

Anyone get this kinda problems? im just wanna make sure that it is my mobo, since i dont wanna drive back all the way to lowyat to change a newer one if the problem is not the mobo, and FYI, none of my hardware are Oced.

Me oso, but i'm on 754. At 1st, i oso thinking my mobo or my oc cause it. Digging frm the net, i come up with dis
http://www.google.com/search?q=908531+issue

it seems, there's no rollback since it updates the system core files. Mebe its the same issue with urs. Have to reformat my pc. after that, i gained my oc back.
