QUOTE(coolman91 @ Sep 10 2010, 11:56 PM) Erm ya........ but 2155usd include 820QM and wifi card 6300 and ultimate X64 i think the price is cheaper comepre with gentech and bto and so on right ?? Yup, hence I asked for the full specifications to check the differences If you go for the GentechPC & Comegateway option you should only pay around USD 1700~1750 including shipping with DHL for the A1. That's around USD 400~455 difference for what you paid. Also you shipped within US right? Our units was delivered from USA to Malaysia right to our door step

Gentech PC: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 - USD $185 Intel 6300 Wifi - USD 35 Intel Core i7-840QM - USD 575 Yup, it's slightly cheaper than GentechPC. I did a calculation for the A2 with the options above and the total came up to: USD 2297.53 However it's based on the i7-840QM, they don't have the option for the i7-820QM

I guess ur drive is a bit sensitive. But its still normal if out of the 20 dvds u read only 5 failed. But I'd rather ask for more info? Out of how many? or totally 5 dvds fail? Coz urs problem is one awkward ones. QUOTE(coolman91 @ Sep 11 2010, 01:06 PM) If the price fits ur prefered price then its fine. Cheers.

QUOTE(coolman91 @ Sep 11 2010, 01:06 PM) Nope you didn't kena chop. As long it's cheaper and you feel what you paid is fine then don't worry about it. BTW, did the unit you receive came in the original packaging? The Ebay seller stated in his page that the unit might or might not come with packaging. Although he states brand new I feel like it could be refurbished units. Just double check

QUOTE(coolman91 @ Sep 11 2010, 04:32 PM) hmm sure.... but how do i check is refurbished units or brand neW ??? uh... that's a bit hard to tell. But If its a refurbish unit, they should be label the unit as "Asus G73Jh-RBBX05-REFURB" on the box packaging. Though i can't be too osure if that's fairly accurate. Cheers.

QUOTE(coolman91 @ Sep 12 2010, 08:36 PM) oh thanks then how about G73jh-A1CUSTOM ?? brand new or refurbish unit ? The "CUSTOM" mean customized notebook? Have to ask the experts. Anyway, why don't you just send the resellers an e-mail in order to clarify your doubt. Just a suggestion.

QUOTE(coolman91 @ Sep 12 2010, 08:36 PM) oh thanks then how about G73jh-A1CUSTOM ?? brand new or refurbish unit ? Like jeffrey said, it could be some upgrade done than refurbish. But did u custom anything? If u didn't then i guess it could be retailer upgraded ur core i7 720QM to 740QM? AFAIK, there's 2 retailers i know for selling Refurbished Asus Laptop, one is tigerdirect, another is BTO Tech.

Mostly its due to customer rejected the RMA unit and thus its labeled Refurbished in most cases. Added on September 13, 2010, 12:26 amAs for pros, well its tested after re-assembled and new box and stuff. Cons, if ur unlucky then u might need to RMA it again. But let's hope ur unit is new.
