bought it last week i tink..posted out on 27th..got 2 package actually..first arrive at malaysia on 30th..the other one still tracking..now wonder if they will deliver or shud i call poslaju or sumthing

I pay mine on 4th Aug through paypal and the laptop was in my hand on 11th Aug 2010 using usps.

Perhaps you can wait for somebody to do some GPU (GTX460) benchmarking 1st before you can make up your mind. IMHO, Asus G73Jw attracts me more . . .

IMO, it is not worth it as the charge is quite high but I'm not really sure as I have not done it before. You can ask Viperion on this matter.

hahah..yea..suppose to be 2 stealth bomber..but due to some problems..so im gettin 2 msi..saving up money for the g73 ..else g53 will do ..wonder when will i be able to take the laptop..cant wait to do some review on it XD

I have read on some forums that a few owners got it done by their retailers. I can't really vouch for them because for TIM it's nearly impossible for you to check if they actually re-pasted for you. Even if you were to remove the notebook yourself and check the TIM used by ASUS is practically the same color with IC TIM. The only way to tell is to monitor your temperatures and compare with users like me who have re-pasted with the same TIM as your unit.


Nice temperatures, I used to get temps like those when I first got my unit. Keep track of your temperatures and it it rises after a month please do let us know. After a month of running my laptop, SC2 was maxing out my GPU temps at 95~100 degrees C with stock thermal paste. After IC Diamond re-paste I'm maxing out at around 70~74 degrees C
