What is the initial selling price of S95?

I saw Yamiya selling now at RM1199

So street price can get roughly 1k?

Just want to share. I am always looking out for a better camera case. I donnt like
those with magnet because it can open easily if bumped. I also cant find cases which
can clip onto the belt without removing the belt . Well today Ifound what i was looking
for and actually bought two from a bicycle shop. The brand is TOPEAK. Google these
model numbers to view ( 1. TC2239B and 2. TC2235B) One is velcro and the other zipper.
Affordable and just nice for s90/s95. Cheers

I just use a golla case for my S95. Fits perfectly, cheap, velcro, comes with hook to hook anywhere, and also got one compartment inside the case and another zipper compartment behind. Perfect to keep SD cards.

on the way and i ordered my own first compact camera S95!
but i realize that a lot canon S95 user use for few day and sell off...
what happen? hope that i would not regret to get an S95.
because i give up using my dad DSLR. too fussy and complicated for me.

huh? y sell off? have been shooting with the s95 since late last year, if not for being tied down for the past 2 months, u'd've seen me pic spamming here!

How does the Canon SX230HS compares with the S95/S100?

I found the SX230 being advertised having similar price to the S95, hence asking.

My priorities are Image Quality and Size (portability in jeans pocket).

Things that are not important for me are the manual control options. For me, cameras are simply recording device and not an expression of artist ability.

wow sx230hs can zoom from 28 - 392mm. Very useful for zoo outings or shooting any
animals which want to eat you.lol

i am tempted to sell off my S95 for S100.

American buyers started getting their S100 yesterday and their feedback
on image quality have not been generally good. Enjoy your s95 and wait
for canon to sort out the bugs on their s100.

adam - u so good , i am a lazy user - once the camera perfromance deteriorates wth time, i get tempted to change the camera

i still got that 'bright spot' in the mid of the pic whenver i m on auto mode and profile mode - even after sunning it !

cheap rm5 semi hardcase in that rm5 shop in one utama.

u know , in the middle of the screen - u see it brighter than the rest of the screen? pics also turn out like that....it didnt use to be like that.

are u sure its not flare?
