very nice. are these in manual mode? i can never get such nice/sharp pics.....
*
all using AV so that i can set to F2.0, AWB set to auto, exposure 0. For super macro shots, i used manual focus so that i can zoom on the stuffs i want to focus on smile.gif

wah, cakap macam pro! LOL doh.gif

chdk something like firmware enchantment for canon,

CHDK is a firmware enhancement that operates on a number of Canon Cameras. CHDK gets loaded into your camera's memory upon bootup (either manually or automatically). It provides additional functionality beyond that currently provided by the native camera firmware.

CHDK is not a permanent firmware upgrade: you decide how it is loaded (manually or automatically) and you can always easily remove it.

have u tried shooting that without chdk?

try increasing the iso, but the more iso is applied the more noise noise will produce in image

Fatani,

Hello, i am new to S95, and i am interested to know how and what setting did you applied to shoot the grasshopper picture. I've tried several macro shots with S95, but it always loses its focus and i ended up with an image blurrer than a IXUS 110 IS. Can you please advice?

Thank you.

Regards,
Gyll

Hey Gyll,
if auto macro is off, try using manual focus, turn the dial till u get the sharpest shot, much like my below pics of the little fish in the pot, distance around 6inches away... taken with flash as it was in the nite

didnt quite remember, but i think i used macro mode for that shot and that's it. for low lights, my fav mode is M with iso 80.  smile.gif. never really used manual focusing coz i think it's such pain in the a** and didnt really think that it's quite effective oso. practice and experiment more with your cam, you'll get used to it. patience bro  tongue.gif

i'd say the only time you may want to use manual focus is when u want to take a photo but the camera default focusing is on somethin else... ada betul ka? tongue.gif
