QUOTE(Rice_Owl84 @ Apr 21 2011, 12:20 PM) Is it just me or are the pictures in the LCD screen on the camera looks awesomely amazing. Especially the colors. But once uploaded into a computer screen its looks dull. Sharpness I can understand from small screen to big screen. But the colors... And i thought I got the perfect contrast from the LCD screen only to get disappointed. most likely ur lcd isnt calibrated. Not too sure what to do here. But I want the same colors from the camera's LCD screen to be loaded on to the computer screen without editing. What can be done? im using the s90, and when i transfer it still looks fine. this site will help - http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/ |

QUOTE(hiroko_jiayi @ Apr 29 2011, 01:26 AM) I just bought a S95. Now im confused about the warranty period for the item, is it 2 years or 3 years? the seller told me is 2+1, bt my fren told me is 1+1 only? The purchase date is empty. so what shud i do? it used to be 1+2...now i guess 1+1.iirc u need to register online within 14 days of purchase. u will also need a receipt cos u need to enter the place u purchased from as well as receipt number... so not sure how empty purchase date is going to help here. |

compacts very rarely get fungus.
anyway, i just use a lowepro apex 20 for my casing...size is just right for moving around with belt loop, rain cover etc. |

the S100 actually seems promising.
sure the s95 at 105mm is f/4.9, but s100 at 105mm is around f/5.6, about 1/2 stop difference... the new processor that claims to reduce noise more should hopefully even it out. s100 apparently also got a 8fps high speed burst mode. guess my s90 going to drop price even more...still got 1.5yrs warranty to go This post has been edited by Everdying: Sep 17 2011, 12:19 AM |

QUOTE(aquos @ Sep 17 2011, 11:43 AM) s95 is better than s90 so s100 will surely be better than s95. how is s95 better than s90?Canon already claim s100 at iso1600 is the same as s95 at iso400. For me direct video button and ability to zoom during video shoot is a plus. Also s100 focus point can be moved around . s95 focus point is center at P mode which i normally use. At auto the camera chose the multi focus points. Right now i say no plan to upgrade but once Ken Rockwell claim it is the new "best compact in the world" ( now he claim it is the s95) I will rush out and buy the s100. I am a sucker for the guy's review. A seldom mention plus for s95/s90/s100 is its most compact size and lowest price when compared to other premium compacts. This encourage owners carry them around. The best camera is no use if kept at home. the only thing it really adds is 720p movie recording, but afterall its a camera first, and picture quality between both are the same. |
