You may wanna try Sunway Pyramid Enata (if you live in the klang valley) i bought the s95 there in Jan 2011 for 1280 with 8gb+casing. additional 100+ will get you 2 more years of coverage. total warranty 1+1+2

i tried, please dont blame me, started snapping, but it was raining just when i was out, i came back, and it stopped, and i went out, and it poured again...

anyway, 8 new shots added, i will retake them when the weather is kinder towards me..

The mosque pics were taken with joby lookalike tripod. timer on, and snap.
The bicycle pics, handheld.
All Manual Mode with the lowest ISO.
I used this cam equally as much as my dslr during my trip to middle east lately.

No stars ker.. need longer exposure di.

just want to ask, which one better between s95 and LX5? this is going to be my first camera and i'm in dilemma now

According to reviews, most of them said LX5 got slightly better in term of photo quality.

BUT ... S95 is more or actually, REAL compact which you able to put it into your pocket.
And for me, its atleast 200~300 ringgits cheaper than LX5

will buy it today at pc fair. Yesterday i ask the price is rm1299

Wanna add my 2cents onto this.

- There isn't really any real difference in image quality between the enthuasiast compact crowd. I mean.. the difference is sooooooooo small that one will have to scrutinize really deeply to see any minute difference even in a perfect scenario. In actual use, I would say its zero

- Interface wise, S95 better especially with the dual control ring and set button to bring up the quick menu. LX5 distinct tiny d-pad buttons are not so friendly for man-sized fingers.

- Size wise... its up to preference.

- Speed wise.. S95 faster to operate.

- LX5 advantage is its faster lens fully zoomed out and its wider 24mm end.

I bought it from HK ard RM1173, but only camera.
I love this camera, too bad i found out it default dpi is only 180 instead of 300dpi T.T
