Very clear picture. comparable to SLR camera?

no cannot compare lor..

even my old cam d40 pics can smackdown kao2 my s95 pics.
s95 pics are nice really, only if it's in its class category:- compact cam..personally, i bought s95 for it's better IQ than the rest of the compacts out there (nite shot especially) and for it's POCKETABILITY. for serious IQ, ill go out with my dslr. For ME, No, it's not COMPARABLE with DSLR pics IQ, but it certainly better than the rest of ITS bunch

The "comparable to dslr" cliche that we see in reviews are just figure-of-speech la.

At small image size, the difference is probably less but trust me, there's huge image quality difference between even an entry level dslr + kitlens then that of a compact.

i just bought it rm1350 at shangrila foto lowyat,most shop out of stock
i got s95+8gb sdhc+case+mini tripod
the cheapest offer i got while survey in lowyat only rm1320 with 4gb+case

I bought at 1.4k at melaka, oni free 4g and ori canon case. canon malaysia waranty 1+1.

got a fren of a fren(he's a wedding photog) told me that the bride's dad come up to him and told him to use his pns for the whole wedding..the dude say nvm he got his dslr..he dad said ''this is 12mp..how many mp is yours?''

that dude is using a 400D so he told the dad..''10mp oni unker..''..and the unker cant understand why he said his dslr is better than the unker's pns

and its giving him a hard time to explain

totally agree on this - S95 is probably one of the best sumbat-in-pocket cameras available today. even pana lx5 is not that sumbat-able...

so buy S95 if you want the portability and best image quality in it's class, not if you want image quality on top of others. S95 will not match any DSLR or even 4/3 with interchangeable lenses.

Where can get the custom grib for my new canon S95 ....
I nvr experience about online shipping ... so i wish to get it in KL .... any suggestion ? or must get it online?

Image quality is directly proportional to the sensor size, when everything else is equal.

S95 user here.
Bought it overseas.

Love it compared to my G9 cause I can bring it around everywhere. Hehe.

Recently, i'm looking for S95 and i went to lowyat several time also no stock. they said the whole lowyat no stock. Anyone know what is happening? Where can i get a cheaper price than lowyat? Most lowyat shop was offering RM1,300 for 4gb and case.
