How much is S95 generally selling in Low Yat? Is it fine to buy camera there? What other places that sell it cheaper in Klang Valley area?

Also, what is the lowest price now, so I know how far I can bargain with the sellers. Thanks.

followed my fren to get one las saturday. rm1259, 4gb screen protector and leather case . hav to admit, it's a darn good camera

I bought mine from times square. surprised to know that my package is difference from yours. I wonder why!
They give me a normal black case, but i bought uv crystal and get the leather case free ( NO stock , I have to come back and take it next time and return back the black case... damn, like that also can). Also the UV crystal quoted at times square is costly than PJ branch. Luckily I remember the price one of the forumer stated in this site. Please read up and follow up closely before you made your purchase

yes, this is the tricky part. they will sell you the camera cheap but the accessories price will be crazy. i would suggest just take the basic set and buy the accessories elsewhere.

i still have to go back to the times square outlet for my leather case next time. I shall wait for their call.

also the sellers will put a very high price tag on the accessories and then sell it at a big discount to you, but at the end the price is still much more expensive than outside.

one example is the lense filter, they can put the price as rm250, and sell it to you at rm100 for so call 'bundle price'. you will think tha it's a good buy for such a big discount, but the actual price outside is only rm30 to rm50

Just bought s95 yesterday as my christmas present. Choosed it over LX5 coz of the size and LCD colour.

However after few shots and comparison, found out the camera LCD colour will differs from the PC display? Display on my laptop/PC seems more dull and less dark compare with the camera screen display. Any sifus here experience this?

Well definitely it's the difference of LCD panel used. Just like your television and mobile phone screen, they display colours differently

And also, if it's a bit dark on the camera screen, do brighten it up somewhere in the menu or better still, calibrate it according to your PC screen

Is it expensive to buy calibrate software/hardware for PC screen? I rather calibrate my PC screen so i can edit photos and videos to more natural colour.

Are you going to print those pictures?

Normally people calibrate their screens for that purpose iinm because they want their colour output to be exactly the same as what is displayed on the monitor.

I won't calibrate my screen if i don't print pictures. Why? It's because majority of the users around Malaysia use uncalibrated screens, displaying inaccurate colours. So if I were to calibrate my screen and share pictures online, my pictures would still be inaccurate to many users around the world. It's because of their inaccurate monitor, displaying my accurate colours as inaccurate solely because of their uncalibrated screen.

Oh... then perhaps i should calibrate my PC screen according to the camera screen colour? Coz on the camera the colour and contrast looks much vibrant and brilliant.

Definitely won't print out most of the pictures btw.

im planning to buy this in 2 months' time.. will cameras' prices usually drop after a few months?

if you buy and register it within this Month, you will entittled for 1+2 yrs warranty by canon.

I bought it from Divine at Digital Mall. RM1259 with 4G card and case. It should be 1+2 warranty if you register the warrany online. However till now i can't get myself sign in to register the warranty. It kept hang at the sign up page.
