amyway, can't waiy any longer, i reflash 7.0 again and restore the apps one by one, some problem seems to disappear. I found out it is better to restore only user apps+data, else some apps will mysteriously disappear, eg. Market enabler and adb wireless is there when initially flashed but disappear after I did a batch restore with Titanium Backup. I only found out this when I reflash yesterday night, maybe I accidently restore some system setting. blink.gif

@#$%&*... I just reflash 7.0 yesterday and 7.1 comes out today. rclxub.gif apparently 7.0 was an experiment and now many things has been reverted in 7.1. I think no choice I need to flash to 7.1.

anyone using ext4? Nextsense support ext4, I am thinking should I change to ext4, but I heard ext4 less performance than ext3.

another thing - anyone install the wi-fi N option? We need to download additional file but how to update the zip file into the phone? Just update zip from sd card like we do with ROM zip file?

I thought wi-fi N supposed to be the main features of Official Froyo just like 720p recording? But maybe some ROM developer put it as optional to save battery life. hmm.gif

1. yes, definitely if you want to change the size of the partition.
2. Should partition first then only flash rom, so that the rom will straight away recognise the ext3 partition.
3. The wipe only function is only useful when you want to flash rom but the partition size remain, eg. when you want to just upgrade the rom (the data on the card still intact if you did not delete the FAT32 partitions). To change partition size denifitely need to repartitioning, all the partitions and data on the card WILL BE LOST.

if you haven't install Amon_RA, what program you use to partition the card? My mini guide is only applicable when you have installed Amon_RA with Unrevoked.

what done is done, I think the partitions you created is all FAT32. You can only partition ext2/3/4 with Amon_ra. So actually no point partition the SD card with the System Settins. Can you just boot up your phone into normal phone mode now? If yes, then connect to your computer, select Hard Disk mode, then copy the new ROM to your SD card. Then disconnect it and do the Unrevoked things with Amon_RA from Step 1.

I also think this is the easiest. Delete all the partitions you created and format into 1 single partition. Then copy the new ROM zip file into it.

sure no prob, what system your computer is running - winxp or vista or Win7? Do you have a card reader?

if windows 7:
Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> Computer Management >> Storage - Disk Management >> Right Click on your SD card partition >> Delete Volume (do this to all the partitions you created on the SD card) >> Right click again on unpartition portion of your SD card >> Create volume >> right click again then format - choose FAT32 >> Done.

Are you inside building? Best if you are out in the open. Even in my car, the GPS takes some time to lock in.

Just completed mine 1 minute ago, it is 137MB from Setting>>SD & Phone storage. Of course it is will ext3 setup.

this is what i did just now:
1. copy new ROM and Radio to SD card.
2. Enter into Recovery.
3. Flash ROM. Do not reboot.
4. Flash Radio. It will require Reboot to continue.
5. So Reboot System Now.
6. The reboot will auto go into Recovery Mode again.
7. Partition SD card with swap,ext2 and FAT32. Upgrade ext2 to ext3.
8. Reboot System Now.
9. Done. It will take a while to boot into phone.

Just for your info, for the preparation, I did a Titanium Full Backup. Dun forget about this. wink.gif

i think i am using Amon_RA. But I did not do a Unrevoked process this time. I think did once and it (Amon RA) will be inside your phone forever.

I dun know why but it did went into recovery automatically.

Actually I forget to put in 1 step - the wiping data steps. So it should be:

1. copy new ROM and Radio to SD card.
2. Enter into Recovery.
3. Wipe data/factory reset, Wipe cache, Wipe Dalvik-cache, Wipe SD:ext partition.
4. Flash ROM. Do not reboot.
5. Flash Radio. It will require Reboot to continue.
6. So Reboot System Now.
7. The reboot will auto go into Recovery Mode again.
8. Partition SD card with swap,ext2 and FAT32. Upgrade ext2 to ext3.
9. Reboot System Now.
10. Done. It will take a while to boot into phone.

EDIT: Just ran a few round of Quadrant, the score is 1,423, my highest so far. No overclock is done, just a fresh flashed system. thumbup.gif

my system now is not stable at the moment (AuraxTSense v7.1). When I install some app either from Market, by Astra File Manager or Restore from Titanium Backup, the phone will reboot. doh.gif Anyone else has the same problem.
