Anyone know ADB push here ma??  sad.gif

I tried to install an apk using ADB command. I am on AuraxTSense7.1

1st I need to remove the default app so I was entering below:
cd c:\android-sdk-windows\tools
adb remount
adb shell rm -f /system/app/[appname].apk

It gives error "rm failed for -f read-only file system"

Anyone can advise?  hmm.gif

--------------------Thank you, problem solved  smile.gif -----------------------
*
do you mean you can uninstall some default apps in the ROM and replaced it with the ones you want? I am very eager to know the ways if I can replace (or just remove) some default apps (like car home, peep, quick office, etc).

I was on 7.1, the battery life is not bad too. I think NeoPhyTe maybe knew the bad battery life so included undervolting 245-1000mV to 7.6.1.

thx for the lesson.. i'll keep the old copy of old rom tongue.gif
yea lo.. tak de card adapter when bought kingmax 8gb.. ish..
wanted to ask.. can u open the corrupted .zip from ur computer ??
cus i always thought that if i double click on the zip and it doesn't come out error... means i have a complete(good) zip
*
I only did nandroid once - the first time i did this root/flash thingy. After that quite lazy to do, just do Titanium backup. tongue.gif

Yes, i tried to open the zip file in my computer, it come out an error message. So next time MUST double click on it before copy to SD card and flash. sweat.gif

anyway, put my sd card inside my brother's nokia and copy the ROM file inside, then put the card back into my Desire. It has rebooted and boot into the phone mode. Everything seems to be fine now... need to do Titanium restore again.... zzzz...

btw, anyone install the circular battery mod? Is it just install it like flashing rom? thanks. smile.gif

zzz... after flashing AuraxTSense 7.6.1, can access to market but the download won't start. I need to download Astro File Manager. Reflashing twice still the same, very frustrated now. Any other way to install Astro File Manager? The ROM author should include it in every ROM.

EDIT: I did install the latest radio, maybe need to downgrade the radio. sweat.gif

EDIT2: Downgrade the Radio from latest 32.47.00.32U_5.10.05.23 to 32.46.00.32U_5.10.05.17_2 still the same.

No one tried 7.6.1 yet with the latest radio? Where have all the flash king gone? laugh.gif

ok, as promised, some basic step by step guide to partition your sd card with Amon_RA.

Stage 1: Get Amon_RA into the Desire
1. Download Unrevoked.  [Link]
2. Download Amon_RA  [Link]
3. Install HTC and HBOOT driver.
4. Run reflash.exe as Administrator (DO NOT connect your Desire to computer at the moment).
5. At Unrevoked, File>>Custom Recovery>>Choose recovery-RA-desire-v1.7.0.1-R5 (the Amon_RA file you download in step 2).
6. Connect your Desire (USB debug mode on, etc).
7, The rest is fully automatic.  laugh.gif

Stage 2: Partition you SD Card
1. Enter into Recovery mode.  You will see the options below:
    - Reboot system Now
    - USB-MS toggle
    - Backup/restore
    - Flash
    - Wipe
    - Mount
    - Partition sdcard
    - Other
    - Power off
2. Under Partition sdcard, you will see:
      - Partition SD
      - Repair SD:ext
      - SD: ext2 to ext3
      - SD: ext3 to ext4
3. Use Partition SD to make the ext2, swap, and the remainder will be auto partitioned to be FAT32.
4. press back to return to step 2, select SD:ext2 to ext3 to upgrade the ext2 you created in step 3 into ext3.  Do SD:ext3 to ext4 if you want to upgrade further to ext4.  But I only upgrade to ext3 only coz i read somewhere ext4 is not necessary.
5. Reboot system now, it will boot with all the partitions now.

Note:  If you want to flash rom, you can use the Wipe function to wipe all ext3 partition, cache, etc clean, but the partition remain intact.

Hope this mini guide helps. For more details, should refer to this master guide.
here you are... post #1049.

finally my market problem solved!!! The culprit is the stupid corrupted file system. I think somehow during the process, part of the FAT32 has some error. I connect Desire to computer and the computer auto pop out one error saying the file system has error, I use the check disk and auto repair function. It completed and come out with a report saying some errors were fixed. After a reboot, my market finally downloading successfully. thumbup.gif sweat.gif reflash to latest 7.6.1 and radio immediately, now everything seems ok, fingers crossed doing Titanium restore now. zzzz...wasted my whole day. doh.gif

Anyone else having this issue?

The weird *clap* sounds is a known issue on Android 2.2

If you can understand cantonese, change ur voice navigation to it. This is the only sounds that does not contain the *clap* sound.
*
Nice find, never tried Cantonese before. But I think even using Mandarin is not that obvious like in English.

BTW, guys, I am bulking a new kind of stylus for capacitive touch screen phone. Do check my sig if you are interested. wink.gif

anyone tried calibrate their battery? there is a thread at XDA quoted some steps by HTC to calibrate your battery.

I summarise it as follows:
1. Connect the phone to the charger with the phone powered on. Charge until the LED become GREEN.
2. Disconnect the phone from charger and powered it off.
3. Reconnect the phone to the charger again while it is still power OFF. Charge until the LED become GREEN.
4. Disconnect the phone from charger and powered it on.
5. Once the phone power on completely, power it off.
6. Reconnect the phone to the charger again while it is still power OFF. Charge until the LED become GREEN.
7. Disconnect the phone from charger.
8. Power into recovery and wipe battery status (Amon_RA can do this, others I not sure)
9. Power on the phone and use it.

Step 8 is optional and not mentioned by HTC tech support but some XDA member recommended it.

I did it once yesterday night, LED in step 3 is almost immediately become green but surprisingly, in step 6, it took quite a while to charge to green with wall charger (about 15-20 min).

I dun know what to expect, but my Desire is at 90% now from full at midnight. Wi-fi on in office since 9am this morning till now. No calls/sms at all (why I haven't switch to Digi Smartplan doh.gif laugh.gif ).

Maybe Mike can put this at the FAQ at second post. smile.gif

EDIT: My Desire is now with AuraxTSense 7.6.1 and latest radio.

the 96.24mb is your phone memory or sd card memory? IIRC, only need about 30mb++ for phone internal memory. If your SD card is full, get rid of some files inside.

Do you encounter any slowness on speed? How does the undervolting on version 7.6 works actually? Under volt the battery and thus slowing down a bit on performace? Similar like the SetCPU concept?  hmm.gif
*
If i am not mistaken, the undervolting only kick in when i off the screen, i.e. when it is in idle mode. I run several Quadrant, all score above 1350++, superb, my highest among all the NextSense/AuraxTSense revision. thumbup.gif I think it is like SetCPU build in and run automatically.

i scare flash liao then next version came out another better one.. wah.. none stop flashing..
actualy flashing i dun mind.. just that restoring the apps.. dam sien ~  hahahahaaa
*
did I say that? haha.... laugh.gif

actually i would have stopped flashing at 7.1, BUT suddenly when I install some apps, the phone will reboot itself, so I have "no choice" tongue.gif but to upgrade my ROM. The latest was 7.5.2 then. But just hours after I flashed to 7.5.2, 7.6.1 came out, so I flash again even before I did my Titanium restore on 7.5.2.

totally agree with you, flashing is easy, quick and fun BUT the process of putting all the shortcut and apps to the homescreen make me lazy to flash. Restoring apps is quite fast actually - just restore all missing apps and data in batch under Titanium restore.
