The new HTC Sense really impressed me

Not sure if our classic Desire would be getting this update via OTA? If not I would hope those custom ROM makers in XDA would include this on their future release

it depends on many factors for sure..

- cpu state (idle / running at how much frequency under particular scaling etc)
- process
- background process
- services and background services

and etc.. there is so many factors that differs the quadrant score and thats why the average is the most likely value and upon fresh boot (less apps running/servicec) is the best time for the test.. but still, a quadrant score dosent show much really.. some phones have been scoring high on the gpu section during that test leaving adreno 200 based phones far behind.. the Samsung GalaxyS also improves and boosts its quadrant scores via the lagfix mod/hack. If your phone is fast, it is fast.. Fast should also be defined as highly usable and less troublesome i guess


perhaps yes it will be given via OTA updates but surely not all.. i heard that the DesireZ and DesireHD system dump is larger than 400MB so guessing HTC Sense on that device already ate up a big portion of the system dump. It perhaps wouldnt fit the internal memory of the Desire but maybe some will come to the current desire. Just wait until mods gets their hands on the DesireZ and DesireHD system dump. Maybe they will port some of the apps and features and release it into custom roms or flashable update.zips .. Hopefully it will be compatible and under the same system framework

last few week i buy @ maxis ttdi... they said after raya they will restock Desire for the last time... maybe you can call maxis ask them to check for you....

You bought it along with maxis contract? I'm thinking of buying just the phone alone.

just bought one from maxis center, klcc.. charging it right now..does it have to be 8 hrs?

and got 1 saman for illegal parking..waaa how much ha?motocycle

It is good to charge it 8 hrs before 1st use.

Anyone on OpenDesire or CM6? Since im not any mobile plans yet and is there a way to enable 3G on demand only?

anyone have any issues/experience/info on kingmax 16gb microsdhc class 4?

a seller quoted rm226 include postage for 2 cards

personally i think its a good deal, googled but not much info on this. Likely the card is ok but you never know what will happen once we create some EXT partition.

its either this, or a kingston class 4 16gb for rm138 somewhere else.

Im not on these 2 custom ROMs, but I strongly believe to enable 3G is still within your control. You can on or off it whenever you wan, it is the phone setting.

Added on September 17, 2010, 5:57 pmIm using 16GB Class 4 (Kingston) for 1 month, bot it during the PC fair at KLCC, RM113. (So urs shud be a good deal)

There was once my SD card was corrupted when I 1st flashed to custom ROM (NexTSense 5.3), apart from that no problem, not really sure on Kingmax though it shudnt be any big difference.

so it seems the price has went down a bit, but our garage sales still not

demand high since Android became big, but the higher capacities still not quite affordable

does all desire heat up rather fast?
with wifi on for 5min .. i can feel more phone is heating already ><
or izzit because still new battery uses faster ?

it does get heated fast.. dont worry.. its quite normal indeed.. it will heat up when u use cpu intense apps or games indeed.. try opening a flash site, surely u will feel it hotter .. but its not a flaw at all.. dont worry much but dont get it super hot too much..

yea.. get heat up very fast tho! but im sure if u dont use it continously long it wont overheat! mine overheat sent to dealer d..

heat also is the enemy of battery.. higher temperature is prone to waste much more power.. . keeping and mantaining at a decent temperate is perhaps more battery efficient and optimum.. its hardly to notice this in daily usage but technically it is..

that's why i love using undervolt mod or even slight underclock
after playing few rounds of games it gets warmish
not to the point of hot as when it's all stock
used to play games then put into pants pocket...
can feel the heat warming my thigh! :haha:

Anyone on AuraxTSense 7.6.1 knows how the undervolting works? Is it when low battery it auto undervolt? or when idle? Curious here as my phone seems to be hanging up quite a few times tonight after the warning of low battery appeared..

Another question, when my phone hang adi whats the best thing to do other than pull battery? When hang that time I want to restart it also cannot..

i guess undervolting means using less voltage but still cpu running at same clock.. it is achieved via finding a matching alternative frequency.. the cpu is still able to run at same stock clock speed with lower power supply resulting in a slightly battery saving
