The intercooler is face-mounted pipe, not side mount, I'm afraid we had problem later to mount it..★★★ LYN PROTON WAJA Club - V10 ★★★, The Journey Never Stop!! Vroooommmmm~~

This is side mouted, will hide inside ur bumper....either left or right, (Installer will adjust lar.) It will suck wind generate from ur wheel spin...
This is just the right size if you plan for stock internal, smaller intercooler will provide better feedback in air flow.....then ur snail will work smarter with less effort. sumore......is the good start (cost cheap) This post has been edited by kampoon: Jan 7 2011, 09:54 AM |

i wonder if can hide under the standard battery location or not? since i actually relocate the battery liao so there is a big empty unused space there now at the old place....

Yup..i understand that, but the problem is stock intercooler always mounted on the side of car, or even at the front fender..If u can conform that intercooler can mount at the front bumper grill then i'm ok with it This is just the right size if you plan for stock internal, smaller intercooler will provide better feedback in air flow.....then ur snail will work smarter with less effort. sumore......is the good start (cost cheap) |

turbo talk everywhere
looks like my borg warner s256 and kkk k27 is out of place already nah, to start with; 1. td04 for starting 2. walbro 255lph fuel pump (need mod for 4g18p) 3. sard fuel regulator 4. 510cc injector taken from evo3 or gsr (td04-stage 1 is fine with 390cc gsr injector. td05-stage 2 better be on evo injector) 5. evo 4 or above coil / head and metal gasket (else, stock ones need to be toughen up). 6. customize or aftermarket intercooler (i personally prefer hks)with stainless steel piping 7. customize turbo manifold / exhaust setup 8. port an polish job with bigger piston head to cope with the extra pressure. 9. hks or blitz blow off valve 10. piggyback management chip 11. 38mm tial wastegate 12. oil catch tank(this one will comes in handy) 13. better suspension setup to avoid nosedive under heavy braking. 14. twin pot brake upgrade with evo 6 dual layer brake servo and better set of tires 15. labour and runner(jpj & puspakom) charges (Bold words = basic upgrade) all in all, cost is on par with gsrt transplant. hence, the reason i headed straight for turbo engine transplant. factory turbo engine could withstand 1.3 bar compare to 0.7 bar on bot na engine. from my experience, anything higher without a proper engine job(piston, top, cam and gasket) will be a suicidal to the 4g18. waja 1.6 stock manual gear box could handle the bot without any problem. tested fine but you may need to consider an exedy clucth and mivec ck flywheel upgrade for more oomph. auto gearbox need a cog modification (ratio) and atf cooler. |
