should be both coz' lower arm was directly hooked up to the frame and there is this thing call ball joint or something.
on straight road, both works together. during cornering, one will soak up the pressure along with absorber and tires, while the other side loosened up.

on straight line, both works together. but when one side went over bump or potholes, it will absorb the pressure while the other side stay neutral.

here is a foreman tips ; try to press the car's top on all 4 side of where the absorber located at.
press once and observe. a good working absorber should only bounce once too.
if it keep bouncing, that's mean the abs is gone and thus caused the car to bounce repeatedly( due to spring action).

Bro yngwie. Absorber mounting which will u suggest? Ori or Local?
*
for a slightly spirited driving, the local one is good enough. 2 pcs of local abs mounting = 1 pc of ori abs mounting tongue.gif

If there's white exhaust smoke, what does that mean? I've started my engine and I don't see any white smoke coming out from the exhaust, so I guess it's most probably leaking somewhere.
*
white smoke means your head gasket is gone, thus allow the water to enter the cylinder area.
10k mileage seems okay. need to replace the head gasket and check for possible leak somewhere.

Lol i mean how worth or not from waja change to city?

minimal upgrade only..lol..don't hunt lo honk is ok..haha
*
it's a downgrade. not an upgrade smile.gif both are of different segment. city might have a better nvh, but it's overall ride doesn't beat waja. neither does it comes close in handling.
except for the badge, if you could call it an upgrade.

My 10 years old Waja 4G18 is making some oooonnggg ooonggg sound whenever I drive the car up to 90-110km/h.. Till now I not sure what is the problem.. some say gearbox some say the tires...
*
you should be able to differentiate between tires, wind noise and engine sound.
if it was more like a humming sound at higher speed, definitely not the gearbox. tires with worn out tread tend to produce those sound as well.
or in some case, could be the engine mounting. if there is no slight vibration on dashboard when the engine idle,
problem down to wheel bearing.

thanks danny. It's not gonna be as easy as you will have to take off your whole cooling coil.
*
yeah! not to mentioned the hard work on removing the goods compartment, then removing the screw in and out in between the firewall.
i try once and never again tongue.gif

hey guys, what kind of engine oil is suitable for the waja?
*
what is your mileage? waja 4g18p or campro?
for waja 4g18p, you could use mineral, semi synth or fully synth(depending on mileage) of 10w-40.
semi or full synth of same visc 10w-40 is okay for campro.

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Aug 28 2010, 10:01 AM)
AFAIK, there' no adjustable with soft/hard only.  hmm.gif
*
very rare. i came across one before. semi-adjustable with only soft/hard option. can't recall the brand. the absorber system is already tuned for lower height and stiffer spring (can be customize but still stiff than those of oem). all you have to do is turning the valve on the abs to adjust the gas pressure brows.gif

it's the whole engine itself that you need to worry. auto gearbox is cheap tongue.gif
without proper job done; port and polish, forged piston, cam job, better quality gasket and so on, the engine part might give up before the auto gear box(with atf cooler) tongue.gif
i've had checked with speedworks last time, stage 1 bot on 4g18 already cost around 7k complete with intake manifold, intercooler and turbine but no port and polish job. gain additional 45% - 55% of power but boost only at 0.6 max.
finally decided to go for mix and match setup at slightly higher cost, with invecs-II gear box for town ride and there is no turning back.
100% power gain too brows.gif
well, unless yo want to keep the current engine, bot is the best way to gain more hp but it will be an almost a never ending job.

yup taking care of the engine is the main thing to take note when doing BOT.. its just that my worries come to the GB since it is not built for BOT purpose and yes it wasn't even built for performance purpose.. ahahaha.. i'm the one that looks for pleasure driving and easiest option is BOT.. but also reminds me of 7k in which also would be good to go for transplant.. in which a GSR is within 8-9k..  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
even though 4g18p is robust and reliable, it doesn't really mean for bot purpose. unless done with lots of forge thing. which will shoot up to cost to
more than 10k! since there is no replacement for displacement, going for gsrt with invecs-II gearbox for town ride is still the better option.

hmmm.. yup.. gsrt is what goes at the end as it serve the power plus its a built turbo engine.. huhu.. thx it does clear things up for me.. but does invecs-II share the same kind of wiring or does it need any mods to suit? but nevertheless its still a plan in which i'll make do in 2 years time.. which concern me if the engine price will shoot up or goes down  blink.gif  blink.gif
*
plug and play. in fact, most of the gsrt halfcut in the market comes with tiptronic gearbox. else, just adopt one from airtrek. advantage of tiptronic geabox; comfortable for town drive while being powerful enough during
overtaking brows.gif
i doubt you still could do it in 2 years time. news had it that government is going to ban the import of halfcut stuff from japan soon. so, it's either done sooner or never.
