I am also have not setting any APN configuration on the CSL Spice.
Last time the sales person on CLS help me insert the sim to my Spice and I told him to teach me on how to manage the connection. He said there is no extra setting to be made, just enable the data option in Mobile Network Setting. (Settings > Wireless & Network settings > Mobile Network settings > check the "Data Enable" option. )

anyone here manage to get the paid apps appear on android market after rooting? I heard someone manage to get them available..

I don't understand how Digi Internet Broadband can be such a pain. I bought Celcom RM48/mth broadband plan without modem. I just dropped the 3g SIMcard in and it works without any settings at all. I didn't have to do anything.

Anyway, I cannot tahan the loose battery problem, so I pried open the back cover (yep...scary!). Turns out, there is a small 4wire battery connector about an inch away from the charging port. The battery is huge taking up maybe 1/4 of the device size. The connector is loosely kept in place by a double sided-tape pressed against the back cover. What I did is to insert a sheet of paper in between the connector and back cover. Voila! No more loose battery issue and the back cover is a snug fit now. smile.gif

(wish I'd taken pics of the insides) malas nak pry it open again, but it is easy to do.
WTB Silicon Case for the Mi700 in case anyone has found any.

Great...it means we can change the battery in the future in case the battery lifespan dropped. Hopelly CSL still seeling it by then rolleyes.gif

That's what I was told, but by the DIGI OCS. Tried deleting all APN settings and restore default values (assuming the Spice utilizing my 3G SIM to get settings over the network) but to no avail... sad.gif Maybe I'll fiddle with the settings again later.

Anyway, I finally figured out my wifi connection problem. It turned out my PC lost the local networking settings I made earlier for some unknown reasons. Once I reestablish the settings, the connection was fine. Wonder why... blink.gif

Yes, I think your mobile networks settings are all screwed up, try resetting or go to Digi center to get it fixed up. Mine had no problem from day 1, just popped in the sim card and everything is automatic. By the way, mine is Digi post paid and the APN setting reads diginet.

I too can't connect to DIGI BB using those settings. I haven't visit DIGI center yet, but their OCS couldn't provide much help... But somehow my postpaid can connect using the same settings you listed. I find it strange... blink.gif

I'm thinking of using this device when I'm not having access to my PC. Really want to make it work... sad.gif

Yeah, that's what I thought. On non-BB lines, they still charge 10k = RM0.10, so your friend was in the shock of his/her life, I presume. But what can I say, 7" is damn nice to browse internet and stuff, not to mention it loads YT like smooth butter... I tried it over wifi and it was (almost) a dream...

Maybe users of other BB operators can share their settings with us? Please?

bro

i think Digi will cap the amount to RM 149 for postpaid - maximum charge
http://www.digi.com.my/internet/3g/pricing_149.html

whereas for postpaid monthly fee is RM 68 for 3GB

Full access means you get to see the paid apps of any android market in a country where Google has made paid apps available. I like to use T-Mobile US. Pay for apps via Google Checkout biggrin.gif

No, this unit does not support flash, according to Adobe. The last time I tried to download straight from Adobe site, it identifies Mi700 as using a linux OS, which of course couldn't install the said package... blink.gif

Anyway, rumor has it Adobe 'might' consider to add ARM11 into their support lineup. Let's hope that happens in near future. Right now, only those have Cortex A8 CPU can support Flash 10.1. sad.gif

Not supporting flash 10.

So, you might have limitation on certain websites that you can access. Those sites with heavy flash contents such as video sites and some games sites, you cannot access..

If you want to look into tablets with Flash, go for Archos. I'm bringing these babies in soon..

Info on my sig below..

Cheers !

Bought Reckless Racing by Polarbit. Awesome graphic but the Mi700 is struggling to run it. I think already up to the limit of the graphical power of this device.
