chances are these tablets are not made in malaysia nor designed by any malaysian at all.. CSL don't seems to be a manufacturer to me, more like they just rebrand some china stuff under their name and sell it..

if it's introduced, most probably it will be china stuff with CSL brand, look at their entire line up HERE.

wow this is really not bad for a malaysia brand. 2.1(!!) most of the android tablets out there feature only 1.5 or 1.6. thumbs up csl. btw whats the price for this?

A 600 Mhz chip powering a tablet - i have doubts on its performance. Anyway these Android tablets are a great alternative to the iPads. The iPad is expensive and lacks many basics - no USB, no front camera are its biggest defiencies. These Andoids will definately be cheaper - an interesting model will be Samsung Tab, releasing on 2 Sept. Apparently Malaysia will get it too in Sept .

would rather choose csl over samsung. hope they can make below the 1k mark.

Even HTC Desire is having only 512MB ROM isn't it? MicroSD card is pretty compulsory if you wish to store music or videos.

It has built in 3G and GPS, which seems very nice but if it's RM1500, forget it.

if u convert the rate of Rs22000 to RM, it will be around RM 1.5k

Better buy 10.1" netbook. Many selling HP ™ below 1000.

their sales method is like the Nexus one.....Register and pay and they will deliver...but closest is to Singapore.....tempting..initially i also thought of getting one..but then i saw the Adam...   but for both the price is close to RM1500...not inclusive of delivery.. so i might as well wait and get the Adam since the design and hardware is much better.

7" too small to be called Tablet... At least a 10" screen la.

Besides, a 7" is hard to hold with one hand and then if you dock it, it feel small. A 10" is just hard enough to hold with one hand which require you to dock it and it still look acceptable.

Those 10" qualified as netbook??? I see most of them had to stick their face to the screen to read the text... pity

archos 110 better.   but i dont like their design that much..

one thing i noticed that CSL is really not that smart...I mean since they signed an agreement with JooJoo to pay for manufacturing costs in exchange for royalty, they might as well bring it and put it under its wings and sell it at a cheaper price..

We have a good spec but insane priced Samsung Galaxy Tab; - and maybe have to subscribe to carrier, price is too expensive for a tablet.
CSL Spice MI700 still pending for release and 'might be' twin brother, Olive Pad from India;- Olive is expensive..it ifs true, then CSL will be expensive too.
Archos Android Tablet running Android 2.2 Froyo; - I'm eyeing this unit now.

Bunch of tablets from mainland China running Android 1.6 or lower; - these units = i avoid them....super slow and lots of prob...i heard

What I felt is that we'll still have to wait longer for an affordable tablet with descent spec...

Oh well, since u guys said most should be available in year end, just give some patient to wait for the better.

Hope to get one for Christmas or perhaps for New Year. Then again, is the time for CES 2011.
