Do you guys encountered can't received any SMS due to internal memory low (ex : below 15MB) ?

I notice once the internal memory is below around 15MB...SMS can't be received as you need at least 18MB above to receive SMS

Use the force install method and see whether it can work ? It works on all the Android phones I have used so far : app is ModInstall

Rthank you for the tip, will be glad to try and solve the low memory problem.

Added on October 17, 2010, 1:02 pmSeveral people have reported to Google on this problem and I think Google is trying to fix the bug in later release of android software. So right now probably we have to keep our memory above 15MB in order not to miss any sms. Any software developers coming out with an sms software that stores in the sd card will be very welcome.

my bro just bought this csl tablet.

it works well,but i can't open my word,pdf via document to go(not registered yet,just press later)
1st,i transfer via usb from pc to the tablet,it detects the file but an error saying"this file cannot be opened because it appears to be a plain text file "
and for pdf -"error opening file.it may not be a valid PDF file"
i already try a few format of words too.
and i add an mp3 song too but it did not detect it.
i off and on it back again. there was actually 3 m.words file,csl only detects 2,after off on,it detects 3 but none of it can be opened.
and for mp3 i put 3 songs,after off on ,it appears 2 only ,1 more don't appear

and 1 more i can't open bluebery messenger ,it just blank,can't press anything except for the menu(to go to menu)
and another,the games doesnt work well,maybe its for phone,
i downloaded raging thunder and abduction !,it doesn't work well like my phone but the screen are big

others,it work well for internet,quite fast,typing feels as fast as typing in laptops

just realise this tablet is faulty .going to csl tomorrow to see what they will do.i ask my bro to change for new one bcause its not even 1 day,its already faulty ,repairing will take a lot of time

Yes. I think better change to a new unit. No point to repair. This time, test the unit out for applications and games to ensure it works well before you leave the shop. Prepare to spend some time there, rather having headache of problems again.

im not sure if can change bcause the csl is already registered with the limited warranty card and mapking

however i will ask my bro to try.

update,this morning i can open words(what i did is give email to my gmail with attached word files,and download it via csl,it works,and i try to use usb again,its work),mp3 also works now.can open bluebrry mssger too now.i suspect it could be the m.card not transfering the file properly,when i plug in usb it will connect and disconnect for few times b4 it eventually connects correctly

but the m.card slot is still faulty,the m.card din;t pop out after press.sim card works well

Better try first..if cannot, then no choice but to take it for a check up n repair. Make sure when they give you back after repair, test out the applications, video, software etc..etc..on the spot. Make sure all in good working order before you sign the repair form.

Once you are confidence n happy with the unit, then only sign the form and take the unit back home. Save you trouble later on..

actually its the m.card slot problem,the m.card din't pop out after i press it
already take to csl with my bro

they use their long nail to take it out
first they say they will repair take to factory
after a bit argument,they say they change new one,as they are about to change a new one,one staff come in
and dunno what he do,he master reset the csl,and suddenly it works .there nothing wrong with the csl,its just the m.card slot,but dunno.it works,could be something wrong inside the slot.

btw b4 the staff come in,that seller wanna conned me by giving me display set and saying its new.how i know its display set ?the diary cover doesn't feel like new,new one are tight,my bro say that the csl looks like the one he test
(display set) bcause lots of fingerprint,and bcause of the screen protector got lots of bubbles(not the real screen protector,plastic one)
another thing i check documents to go,it will say something like "accept or decline"if u open it 1st time but it din't ask.
and the time is the same as the real time,my bro said b4 he buy,the seller change the time for him meaning the time wasn't set if its a new one
and another i check the wifi settings,its already connected to csl shop? how come ?it have password.
then we want him to change again,same thing again with another csl.hurmm.
then luckily my bro csl works,at least his one was new for sure.

Glad to hear that it finally work out.

So, for future CSL buyers of the tablet...make sure you all check and test your newly bought set on the spot at the store or shop selling...make sure it's a new set and not display unit. Spend a bit time to avoid headache later on.

Is it pocketable, I mean can it fit your pocket, not jeans pocket, normal office / casual pants?

no. if you want poctable, find android phone which is less than 4".

I already have HD2, but kinda like 7'' screen, better GPS experience in car...if not in it's casing, can i still fir it in pocket?

I suggest for a big screen phone and comfortable portability inside pants side pocket, consider the Dell Streak 5"n screen

Dell streak is not available yet in Malaysia officially, and it's price...around RM2.5k if I can buy one here imported. Have to sell both my HD2 and Aria to get the Streak.

Does anyone who bought this droidpad ever try to put this thing inside his pocket, without it's casing/cover, does it fit?...haha just asking.

I carry my Droidpad in my short pants pocket, ok lah still can run also.

Ya lor, RM1k lower to the high end stuff still reasonable..plus much of the main functionality is there..
those with tight budget will find this is the right stuff to start with.

If you read carefully RM 2699...but you have to get from Maxis. So, the price I'm not sure whether is nett selling price OR you have to bundle with Maxis Data plans...

If you go to Sg Wang concourse tomorrow...please find out more.

I will call Maxis tomorrow and ask them about it too...if bundle, I dont want to waste time going there...as the price will be definately higher.

With price range 2699 - above...i think it's super expensive.
