QUOTE(bidfordun @ Sep 13 2010, 01:12 AM) yeah another question. supposedly ipad has 256 mb ram right? How can it be so low at a measly 10mb+ ram? bcos u are using other applications as well? Forget to mention, the highest available memory while you doing nothing, like just restarted, your iPad actually left 160+ mb ram. Just like iPhone 3GS. But the a4 processor does matter and much stable than iPhone. If you have 1 push email account, it would left around 140-150mb ram. When I'm running the 'friendly facebook browser' it will goes down to 60-70mb left due to temporally memory needed to store the internet cache. QUOTE(bidfordun @ Sep 13 2010, 01:19 AM) oh, so if ram is too low u r unable to use skype? err so i guess ram usage isnt that heavy if i dont jb it? i dont plan to jb it anyway. Not too low until 10+mb la. I rarely go until that hardcore. No difference on the ram usage whether you jb it or not. You can google around, some says faster as some pro users go beyond jb like hacking the system, over clock, etc...

Some friend of mine just don't click the cross button after they open more than 5 tabs. I'm sorry to say, you need to jb + activate sbsettings to perform this task. This post has been edited by mrhenree: Sep 13 2010, 01:33 AM

I just did a test run, having clock radio, push email, friendly facebook browser running at background while answering you now in safari, the memory left 43mb. Still working smooth. No worry. As I said, even if goes down to 10mb memory, you still won't feel lag as this is using a4 processor. Worst case is the the iPad will kill all apps and back to home screen only. Took the screen shot. Can only think of upload to facebook to show you if you insist. Btw, bro. I don't think you need to worry about this la since you don't do multitasking. iPad does not support that unless you jb+ activate backgrounder. @pingupink: You need a travel adapter and plug your iPad's adapter into the travel adapter.
