how to charge the iPad? i'v tried using usb cable but seems not charging. i also tried using provided power adapter and attach with multipurpose adapter. also seems not charging.

I got big problem with my iPad.
I bought it from USA and now I am in Malaysia.

You know where I can send it in for warranty or repair? Malaysia? Singapore? Bought it for like 2 months...

@ ff8ong: I think that to lock the orientation of the screen at iOS 4.2, it would be done by double-clicking the home button and sliding the bar at the bottom to the right until the screen orientation lock button like in iOS4 for the iPod Touch and iPhone.

i left out anything? is it FW 4.2 release? any big improvement on it?

Any idea when the iPad 2 will launch? I heard someone said maybe on this year December...But some of them said maybe next year first quarter... Any idea?

Posting this from Apple Store Shanghai. Beautiful glass cylinder as the entrance, and since they're fresh from the iPad launch yesterday, the Blue Shirts are as enthusiastic as ever, cheering and high-fiving everyone who walked out of the spiral staircase to e glass cylinder entrance.

Those who had been to the Apple Store Fifth Avenue will know the scope and enormous size of the Apple Store here. Just replace glass cube at the Fifth Avenue store with the glass cylinder here.

All iPad stocks are available, although the price is more expensive than the Singaporean units. In fact all the stock here are slightly more expensive than every other Apple Store I've been around the world. For example, the Beats Solo HD Product [RED] here is RMB1980 which is roughly RM990, compared to USD229 in the States, or the RM800+ I bought for someone in Paris.

No extra or additional accessories I can see here that are not available anywhere else. I was hoping that the Keycase Keyboard Folio case for the iPad is available here, since it is from a Chinese company. Alas, none to be seen.

Another reason not to "suddenly fall sick" if Im rostered for Shanghai. This is beautiful, seriously one of the most architecturally fantastic Apple Store I've been around. Congratulations, Shanghai!

Also reason why I posted here is that China unfortunately blocks Twitter and all forms of social media network. I just hope my Foursquare check-in went through.

It's thoroughly enjoyable and encouraging how the Chinese are embracing the iPad. Im sitting here watching the payment counter bombarded nonstop by all kinds of folks, from students, yuppies, businessmen, corporate ladies, right up to the apek wearing singlets and aunties who looks like they've just came back from pasar malam!

Chinese iPads are packaged a little differently. They included a separate thick connecting cable that is included with every Macbook Pro, outside of the iPad packaging. Looks a bit weird how the iPad box looks elongated a bit.

how long does the ipad battery last in general(for games and surfing)?
