Why is this happening to me? I had a lengthy arguement with their centre and CS managers anc they refuse to agree that such service exist.
They even went to an extend to offer me a waiver for my bills as their CS guy gave me a wrong info earlier.

personally, I don't like Maxis, so I just got another forumer to DIY-cut the SIM for me, so I can get my iPhone4 whenever I want

So now confirm maxis don't train their staff well. I posted here in may that the maxis staff at batupahat do not even know what is a micro sim. Only one staff was aware and she took initiative go online to check the enhanced data package

No, I'm just a subscriber/user just like you but I find Maxis is quite responsive thru their Twitter. Since I've queried them before, I thought it would of help to others.

actually they do not have to know since iPad & iPhone4 is not officially release in Malaysia. They do not have equipment that would require the use of micro sim. why would maxis wanna train their staff on equipment they don't carry ?

On phone setting/wireless network, select tick portable wifi hotspot
You can assign a password if you want , select option from menu

On iPad, select wireless on. iPad will detect phone
The iPad will use the phone 3G as Internet link

My personal experience of dealing with Maxis regarding multi-SIM data sharing:

Attempt 1: Called CS. Said CANNOT share data between two SIM cards. Must select one SIM card as the 'primary' one.

Attempt 2: Had a VERY lengthy Twitter DM conversation with @maxislistens regarding the matter. They had to beat around the bush and it's like they had no idea and simply give me an answer. In the end they told me CAN share data.

Attempt 3: Went to Maxis Center. Fella said CANNOT share data. I was so fed up I didn't argue or whatever with him.

I ended up cutting a DiGi prepaid Internet SIM card. Now paying RM2 per day. Happy so far.

yup....cut my DIGI Broadband modem sim card. then put it to ipad. if wanna use Digi Broadband again, put da sim card to adapter n push it back into da modem....works like charm

else mah use the android portable wifi lor. ipad can detect the connection. best if your telco package for your handphone has an unlimited data. use until ipad no battery ler....

For Nokia (that have wifi) can install 'JoikuSpot' to share internet

That should be fine. But it is recommended that you completely discharge the battery once a month.
