Wow, ipad price in malaysia is real cheap i would say. Probably can rival hk counterpart price.

Read thru macrumours that iPad 2 will be out on Jan 2011... but its just a rumor

I doubt it, Macbook Pro line hasn't been refreshed in quite some time. The iPad on the other hand was released in April this year. There's two events next year, I'm guessing the first will have something to do with the MBPs and the second will have something to do with the iPads.

But of course, it's just a theory.

Guys, I'm thinking to get an iPad. But I don't know how do all those data thingies work. Probably I'll get the 3G version cause lazy to bring the Mifi thingy along everytime. Or you may suggest me what to do if I get the version without 3G.

And I'm not a huge data user, is there any prepaid for data plan ? As I don't really want to commit any contract.

3. Digi Prepaid Internet (RM2/day) - this one no voice or SMS
4. Digi Discover Day Plan - postpaid. (RM38/month). This is cheapest option, if you get autobilling then it's RM33/month. The catch, full speed only 7am to 7pm. 7pm - 7am, your speed is limited to 128kbps, but you'll be at home using WiFi anyway. Full 3GB/month quota.

Maxis has updated their website on the data plans. It is also stated that they are "currently not selling the iPad devices".

Was hoping that their prepaid plan was cheaper but since it's not I guess it's back to rm 48 for 1.5 gb for me
