Got myself a 2-1 camera connection kit from dealextreme.com for US26.80. It comes with a USB and SD card slot.

Got it after a week of order
When you first plug in, you will have a error message that device not recognized by Apple. Is OK, just use iFile and you can access all the files and transfer it to your ipad

This is a 2 in 1. The original Apple unit comes separately in 2 units - one with USB and the other with SD card insert

After you sync your iPad with your iTunes, under the App section, click on the app you wish to watch your video in (eg: OPlayer) then under the "File Sharing" section, find "My Documents" and drag the videos you want to watch into that section...then click "Sync All" again.

You will be able to watch your video under the app you chose after that.

@fruitie: I recommend that you get a case. The case and a screen protector are essential items that SHOULD be purchased with your iPad to protect it from scratches, bumps and worst of all, falls. Just my 2 cents. The official Apple iPad case is something nice to begin with.

It comes with an OEM case though. By the way, is iPad difficult to be used for a newbie like me? laugh.gif

Don't worry, one of the main selling points of Apple product is its user-friendly-ness. smile.gif

Just connect, and follow instructions nia.
But then again, you can always refer back to the iPad subforum of LYN.. smile.gif

Added on September 27, 2010, 7:43 pmJust wondering ah, how to crop wallpapers and load it inside the iPad, just paste onto the photo section right? But what about the pixels? I know it's 1024x768 but that's for horizontal wallpaper, if we rotate it, it will stretch it?
How you guys load in any wallpaper of your choice into the iPad? What is the size of the image?

Got this tip from : http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?t=2933410

You can play any video file using IPAD VLC, just rename file ext.

Rename the filename to filename.avi. Thats it!
Any supported format in the Desktop version, Ipad version support. just rename to something.avi.
eg.

superduper.rmvb to superduper.rmvb.avi
superduper.vob to superduper.vob.avi

Load in using itunes, and play! To remove, delete the file from within itune's ipad/apps/vlc, highlight the file and press del key.

I dont have any RMVB files - can some one test and revert

The RM 99 package is no longer available for new subscribers even for an upgrade. smile.gif
I'm using that by the way, as an existing user. smile.gif

Anyway, which MiFi modem that allows continuous charging using USB cable? Please advise. smile.gif
