You might be right... the way 3G handling data and our normal streamyx handling data is different..

I notice that 3G only start to load another source when it's current source has finish download.

Correct me if im wrong...

Thanks a lot for the reply. The Digi sim is normally used for data, although calls are sometimes put through on it. I presume the Ipad will not support GSM voice even though the Digi sim allows it, is it correct? Thus will I lose the GSM call capability if I use on Ipad?

ahh...bummer. i just subscribed to the Digi postpaid plan instead. RM68 per month wif only 3GB quota. which they will throttle my speed after breaching the limit.

i went for the postpaid coz the salesguy told me the prepaid speed is slower and not so stable...and i didnt know the quota for prepaid is counted on daily basis instead...

do u think i can convert the postpaid plan to prepaid?

it's still consider as toy to the majority. iWorks suite ? look pretty limiting from the review on apple site itself. Most with Macbook would not even wanna use that.

Like I said, content creation is not one of its strong forte. Content consuming, because of the screen estate and souped up processing power, is ideal. Now, content consuming can mean a lot of things, depending on what the end user puts into the iPad. If the end user puts only movies and songs, it is essentially a big screen PMP. Others may have different plans on their iPads, including power users who are not content with using their iPad only as a mean to tame their rambunctious children on long trips cross-country.

If it is "still considered as a toy to the majority", I guess the Asus EEEPC is a toy as well? They're feeling the heat with mass migration of end users from the netbook segment to the iPad. So, are these large-scale exodus being taken as folks downgrading their personal computing experience to an iPad, or does that not justifies the iPad taking over the netbook as their personal computing device of choice? Or are you saying the EEEPC is a toy as well?

Another great example of how one can expand the iPad functionalities. My company is also exploring the feasibility of using the iPad as a device for us to do our voyage reports, and cross departmental form-filling device, in addition to the electronic flight bag already being use by some of it. The only problem we foresee is the willingness of the crew to adopt the iPad into the work routine, because it involves a significantly drastic change in the mode of data entry. Once that is accepted as the norm, the rest will fall into place, syncing will be as easy as bringing the completed paperwork back to Dispatch Central for content syncing, and re-prepping the iPad for the next flight sector. The biggest hurdle here is civil aviation certification and the change of mindset among the current crew to adopt the iPad into their workflow.

it will be another struggling waiting game for ipad 2 to release in Malaysia.
Buy the desired model at the price you feel worth it... So, can pass the old model to someone only when upgrade is necessary.

Sometimes the upgrade in a hardware is unnecessary to oneself. I myself no using webcam on laptop that much..

I have someone helped to hunt an ipad in SG too. It's not an easy task..haha...

Maybe it's just me... I'm having a 3G Ipad....i found that, without internet...it's kind of boring holding an Ipad.....

Thanks for the recommendation Yeah one thing I don't like about typing on the iPad is that editing can be a bit troublesome, that's true. But typing, I preferr to type in landscape mode and so far no problems about it.

Yeah I guess you can say that the iPad also in a way functions as a referral device for me too, but I don't mind since that was also a reason I got it in the first place
