Thanks for the info, guys. This is great news for current and future VW owners.
Head over to Cergaz. During my last visit there which was last weekend, there is a GTI test drive unit there.
Since you already loved Rocco at first sight, keep that RM20k for maybe some mods in the future and get the Rocco. The stage 1 upgrade doesn't come cheap though, in Singapore is about SGD2k+. You could also maybe look into upgrading the headunit to RNS510.  drool.gif

Sweeeeet news - I may have to drop by Cergaz Autohouse this weekend then drool.gif

They are located in TTDI right?

Yan did you get a Rocco 1.4 TSI? How's it been like driving it for an extended period of time?

Thanks for the heads up Mike thumbup.gif

Hmmmm I wonder how much it will cost to upgrade the headunit?
Its much better then the standard one that have in the Rocco 1.4 and GTI here in Malaysia - however I suspect it wont be cheap cry.gif

Max1979, my personal opinion will be: go get the rocco 1.4tsi! the output and sleek design will definitely fulfill your current criteria for a city car.

it is more comfortable than the gti mk6 and more fuel efficient.

i was at cergaz test driving a few models and the performance of a 1.4tsi is commendable. certain models come with a free ipad for every purchase. interest rate is at 2.7% from certain financial institutions.

Sure. There are versions of RNS510, LED and LCD.
LCD will cost you about SGD1500 and the LED version is SGD1700. If you are getting Rocco, should add on a reverse camera unit due to the poor rear visibility as mentioned earlier. There are many more add ons available for the headunit. You can view more info here:

Definitely looks way better and cooler from the stock version Malaysia has it. We are talking about a huge color screen, touch controls, navigation, etc.

nope i bought the Golf TSi instead coz tho the rocco is sleek and nice but not practical and furthermore with the added rm30k i can mod the tsi to a super power machine smile.gif coz both of em sharing the same engine so dun think i'll burn rm30k to get the looks while sacrificing the performance i can get with 30k worth of mods.

tomorrow i'm doing the Sierra Glow at Summit with Mr. Chong. next i'm gonna get the brake caliper painted red ... then getting bodykit for the TSI... looks to manja already .. need a bit more garang feel esp the front bumper and possibly getting it fitted with twin-pipes. Then a small fin like the Rocco. ECU would be last i think ... still quite happy with the power n balance of FC.

Nice, impressive list of upgrades. I like the red brake caliper ala GTI style.
How about the R LED tail lights? Definitely will make your Golf more "garang".

each dealership will have the liberty of determining her owns freebies to entice customers, as long as it falls within the permitted budget stipulated by the principle.

cergaz gives away a 16g ipad. i didn't ask further if tinting or free service is available.

to further ascertain my statement with regards to the freebies, kindly contact cergaz at 03-7725 8855.

ah, i can see that cergaz has a few freebies options for buyers, which is good.

i don't really fancy apple products so i think your freebies are more relevant to car owner.

wearnes is like cycle & carriage to benz and auto bavaria to beemer. they have been in the luxury car retail business long enough.
