Do me a favour and take clear pic of 1) RM Badge; 2) sizing details on collar; 3) closeup of shoulder stripes.

As for your contention ur cousin is an authorized reseller, i find it appalling, unless ur cousin can show authority he us authorized by adidas or Nike to sell the shirts at cost price, he may end up answerable to his licensers. In business it is common sense that there are certain terms as an authorized distributor yo adhere to. Unless iIt is parallel imports or he is doing it illegally. In fact if its true i would lilke to know which ALI this is wjo are co-hortshm. Anyway that's beside the point. Waitfor more pics yo verify. Thnx for ur patience.

Added on October 16, 2010, 2:41 amAnd may I add, ALI staff are not exactly the best verifiers of authenticity, though their experience would of cos give them certain level of knowledge . Only adidas or Nike  reps can conclusively say so. So in that sense their words may not carry too much weight if their reasonings are mechanical ones. My 2 cents with no disrespect meant to any ALI staff.

i went to ALI for the second time, they told me that they also sometimes receive a jersey with a tag number that is different with the one inside the shirt..sometimes the shirt can be considered as rejected jersey...ALI told me that, the bar code actually was not their concern, bar code is used for only price determination and can be identical with any jerseys...if you had noticed, they actually covered their bar codes with their own price tag(the one with orange in color price tag)..and asked them why..?..

they mentioned that they keep track only on the tag number beneath the shirt because that is was meant to be for them(records) and also it was from sports manufactures HQ(Adidas, Nike, etc)..you cannot lie on those tag code bro because it was issued by the HQ itself...i asked them to scan the tag number for the RM away jersey and also Man Utd Jersey..

this came out on their records

RM away jersey : tag code P0#101599596 (same as the bar code)

Man Utd Home kit : tag code 382469-623, 823229289885

and yet the bar code is meant to be for size S which is true for the man utd home..(and yes the jersey with one with size XL is fake)..

they told me that they jersey is all authentic and original..

if you are telling me that all those jersey are fake, now, you consider what have the ALI staffs had told me..they not concern about the bar code..i'm telling you this because i'm actually would like want to sell what ALI is selling..so, if you said that is fake, that means all this while ALI is selling fake jerseys...??..

so far, i cannot say much more because my cuz is away..still waiting for his explanation, and oh ya, and ALI also told me that they actually had their own local distro( maybe my cuz is one of them) which was not mainly for ALI, but also for other boutiques like adidas, nike, royal sport and etc...ALI is just a store who actually helps to promotes adidas and nike stuffs..

I already asked you to do one more thing.

Please take a close up photo of the man united crest on the front of the shirt. Then I can verify if it's authentic or not.......

I don't want to accuse you of anything, have to be fair..

hye there...

being reading all these..uhhh..
last month i was searching for jersey..going everywhere but seems they dont have the size that i want... M size

funny thing when i was at ALI in Sunway pyramid asking for that particular size and staff over there said.

"size M tiada ,bang..tapi women punya ada M..ok juga kalau abang beli"

i was like..WTF dude..these is something that we put on and proud to wear..hard earn money and some more making wrong buying..naahh

i replied back.."kepala hotak kau" and left...not to be rude but some kind angry..i wasn't suppose to said that also..

Finally i got one already but want to buy another one for collection..
since i missed teckhooi's bulk thread many times..well, i rather wait now until he open new one.. tongue.gif

You could have asked the staff to check with other al-ikhsan branches. They have a lot, latest one was opened at seksyen 7, shah alam (behind uitm).

Or, refer to the first page of this thread (or check al-ikhsan's website) and call other branches....

I'm not 100% sure because they didn't state clearly that football jerseys will be exempted from tax.

HS Code 6109.10.000 - T-shirts, singlets & other vests, knitted or crocheted of cotton
HS Code 6109.90.000 - T-shirts, singlets & other vests, knitted or crocheted of other textile materials

Based on my customs form, jersey falls under code 6109.10.000. There is no specific code for jersey. So, if government have decided that above codes will be exempted from tax, then we don't have to be worry about import duty and sales tax anymore. Just wait and see. sweat.gif

------------------
I just checked at http://tariff.customs.gov.my/. There are no import duties for both codes now. But the sales taxes are still 10%.

If i remember correctly this issue was discussed briefly before, where it is said clothing is exempted tax. However jerseys are classes as sporting apparel...

don't take my words for it though, but i remember there is such discussions and that is what comes out from the discussion that i read.

Hmmm... I tried to look for tariff code of sporting apparels, but couldn't find it. But the previous 20% import duty imposed to jersey is under shirts category, based on my customs form.

By the way, sports footwear's import duty also 0% now. Previously, it was 25%.

well for 1 if retailers were charged a lower tax (or no tax), then they can lower their price to attract more customers while maintaining their profit. i think this is also a good way to counter piracy since if the price is lower, then people might be more likely to buy fakes. no tax would also mean malaysian buyer need not worry about the RM500 limit anymore.

im no expert though so what i said is just my train of thoughts tongue.gif

i mean the only reason one would buy fake over authentic is the price. which idiot will say they buy fake not because of price, but quality? or to support pirates? laugh.gif unless those involved in the piracy their abang/adik/pakcik/mak piah seberang jalan la...

but jersey RRP in Malaysia has always been RM259 and i do believe if they were exempted tax, they would keep the price that way and earn the extra profit themselves hmm.gif

Tried DIY my Liverpool size S jersey, but I made a mistake on the measures:

See how the distance between the name and number was kind of big?

thats not too bad, no definite rule to say how big/small the distance is. even different clubs have different measurements, its all down to the kitman's work. In fact i think the arrangements of the letters are nice smile.gif

Agreed. Sometimes kitman ikut suka dia je.. I am still searching for a pictures. And for sleeve patches as well, different team put the sleeve patches differently. Some team a bit on top, some a bit below, some ngam2 center.

re kaka_89, from the recent pics you posted, I am of the view the shirts are fakes. I am very unwilling to share the information to you as I have more or less made up my mind that you are here (whether concioiusly / willingly or not i donno) to fish for information to improve the fakes which I must say are very good. Regretfully, I will be reporting your thread to Mods who I welcome to PM me for information on my conclusion, and let them decide. I can reveal to you there are 2 very visible errors in the shirts. I have had a quick discussion with some My-FJC members who share the same view.

Further, on a second look at the jerseys spread on the floor in your "cousin"'s pictures when he took the MU shirt, i can say most of them look fake to the naked eyes already based on the packaging etc.

you are most welcome to reveal the the errors bro..i think is fair to let the other forumer knew about it if you said so.....as i said, i have no intention to sells fake jersey..since i got it myself from my cuz who supplies licensed sports merchandise to retail stores in our country...the jersey had been proven ori by the ALI staffs itself who had been working there for almost several years..they said, i'm not the only person who came there to clarify the originality of fake jerseys..those jersey can be trace directly trough the tag number who is specially made for them to keep track on their jersey...i couldn't say more..i'm still waiting for other jersey to be delivered to me...perhaps, we can meet and you yourself can tell us..

regarding the pic on my cuz floor, i have no concern about it..it may or may not be fake...it may be taken from the warehouse..various packaging..? it may originally come from their suppliers which they haven't yet pack it in a proper packaging...we can't say more about that unless we go directly to their warehouse..

owhh..and i forgot to upload one more pic

Regarding the fake jersey issue, wanna clarify something. I recently bought a France home kit from Summit Adidas factory outlet. It cost me MYR111.90. So if I want to identify the authenticity, which website should I go to verify the barcode?
