I've managed to set up three automatic minecart boosters at three minecart stations, but I've hit a snag. It turns out the configuration of the boosters is designed as such that the booster carts stop dead after I leave the chunks where they are located.

This means I have to restart these things each time I return from a faraway place, which is a shame because these boosters are so powerful that they could propel even unloaded carts all the way to the next station. I found more reliable alternatives possessing far less boosting power.

The OP but glitching booster and the alternate but weaker ones can be seen in these respectable tutorials:

I am researching for a one-end station, 2-way station and 4 way station with auto booster. I'll post the one end and 2 end version later here...

The tricky part is that when it build facing north/south/east/west the variation are all difference. Sigh...

Its climate.
Imagine randomly generated snow mountain, area with more trees than usual, desert, snow desert, snow forest, all in the same map save.

That's the reason I haven't expanded my current map the past 2 weeks or so. I just hope the biome variation isn't too drastic over shorter distances; it'll look very odd.

I would like to share my findings on minecart system.

Here is the schematic of my arrival station.

First is the idle state where no cart is coming in:
user posted image
A recycle cart will spin at section 1 as indicated at diagram above in green.
Section 2 is open.

Then, when minecart carries someone come in and land on the pressure plate:
user posted image
The pressure plate will send signal via redstone circuit to open section 1 and close section 2.
The spinning recycle cart at section 1 will be release to section 2, and will be spinning.

When the guy leave the cart, the redstone will send another signal to close section 1 and open section 2. The recycle cart on section 2 will come over and collect the cart.
user posted image
The recycle cart, will go back to loop section 1 and the entire system is reset.

I do not draw out the actual implementation as it varies between north/south/east/west facing but the general idea is there. Also, separate booster track are required in section 1 and 2 for keeping the cart spin.

It's all fine and dandy, except we need an effective booster system that will keep the booster cart in motion when the system is idle (as mentioned in my earlier post).

Will test out this system later though.

Then better get it fast while the 50% discount is still applicable. smile.gif

Perhaps you might want to give it a try first before making final decision. You can test the free classic version on the website itself.
