QUOTE
Calm before the storm?
Perhaps this is the calm before the storm, but I’ve got a nagging feeling I’ve just been neglecting the blog.

I am still alive, and I’m working hard. Not as hard as I should, mainly due to a cold and me having the apartment for myself this week (yay, coding in my underwear!).

We’ve signed the papers for the company, and we’ve found an office. We haven’t signed the office yet, but it’s perfect for us and as long as the owner wants us, we’ll take it. Mojang is now six people strong, three programmers, one pixel artist, one CEO and one Business Developer. It’s likely we’ll grow even more in the near future, but this will get us started nicely.

I was going to send a sneak preview of the Halloween update to a certain website last week for an exclusive preview, but I missed that date pretty bad. I will try to get that update out as soon as possible. The update is going well. There are six new block types (five of them have unique abilities), one new monster, a new dimension, and a couple of bug fixes. Once I get the portals working, I’ll have something very interesting going and I’ll spend the rest of the time leading up to the release adding new smaller features and polishing stuff.

And fixing bugs.

I liek Snow World. Makes my home even cozier. Only downside is reeds and cacti are hard as hell to find.

On a side note, I've extended the railway line linking my second cave system even further to a newly discovered and larger cave system. Minecarts with boosters are proving incredibly handy for speedy travel; I hope it's not nerfed next update.

EDIT: Well, almost connected the cave. Just found out the openings are on the other side of the hill where the line terminates. Time to craft more tracks.

just duplicate the cacti and reed. plant a block -> wait for it to grow -> cut off 2 blocks -> plant at another spot -> repeat

That is if you can find one of each. I planned to plant at least one block of bamboo and cactus in the greenhouse, but as of right now, I have yet to find a single one because Snow World has made it absolutely difficult for these things to grow and be visible when I conduct scouting trips.

The only other bet is to stumble across these in a dungeon, which is why I'm aggressively looking for deep cave systems.

Just got myself a copy. I hope it lets me mine some "time" or else I've to choose among Minecraft, StarCraft 2 & Team Fortress 2 every single night. sad.gif

What a mess I've dug myself into.

I thought it a localised server problem? Notch said so on his blog.

BTW, is anyone stockpiling torches for the upcoming Halloween update? I have two large chests full of them now.

Well, that sucks.

I least we have SP to kill time before the next uptime. Will probably improve my existing minecraft system with a few automatons before I extend to new biomes when the next update comes around.

Woot. I'm kind of excited about the fact that a block's distance is equivalent to 16 blocks' distance in the normal Minecraft world.

My command-prompt starter booster at my home base station is going along fairly well, thanks to a few JewTube tutorials and a simple but effective circuit system. Once finished, no longer will I have to manually push a cart to a booster before jumping on to the cart, but simply sit on the stationary cart and push a button.

Once that's done, I'll start work on the track switches at this station so the lines can be centralised.

I just bought this game.
It is the best Java game i've played. Apart from Runescape.
