Hmm.. Why do I feel that the ESPN HD feed before this has a better PQ than the present feed from Singapore. Or is it just me?

Feed from Singapore do look less than ESPN HD last month...

Its not u only bro..I also see the same difference..last time people here blasted world cup channels becuase it made other channels lose some PQ..now call back those smart guys and explain y the ESPN HD PQ is not as good as it was used to..no more World Cup channel to blame..dont go blame the two HD test channel pulak..

Confusion Can the addition of supersport3 cover all the matches of BPL? maybe they can have some live matches online like how they do the w.cup. then can open a few window n watch simultaneously.

Supersport3 cannot display 2 match simultaneously. It maybe just backup for existing supersport channels.
Hope supersport3 also available in HD.

2 HD channel for sport package wasn't enough?

I hear astro will increase RM20 monthly subscription fee to all their customer effective this september.
So just wait and see whether this news is true or not.

This is just my 2 cents..either the new channel will be Supersport3 or its is Astro Supersport+ that is now on ch804..either way, the channel will probably be similar to the main world cup channel before..ch805/ch810..the channel will display all the matches from the EPL in the screen..the viewers will choose the choice of match via the Red button..the channel the viewers are redirected to ie: ch 825, will only be available at the time of the match and also to show a few replays of the match..then they shutdown the channel until the following weekend..that is if they dont decide to keep a lot of permanent channels..

Actually this method has been used for a long time on Sky Sports in the UK for the Champions League match.. Singapore has had this feature on their pay tv channel for a while too..

Again..that is just my view on it..

If true, then u would have been a good source for this news..
But if u got the news from unreliable source, a lot of people would be cursing and saying bad things that they should not..

U should provide ur source as this is a sensitive issue..
We have had many cases of rumors before this..and many of them turned out to be false..

Yeah.. a bit like them la..if u see, they have 4 SD channels and 4 HD channels..even that, they arent able to cover all kinds of sports..they spread out the sports to other satellite tv provider and other channels like BBC, ITV, ESPN and etc..so 2 sports HD channels aint that much on astro rite now..but it would be better for Supersport HD channel to show different kinds of sports apart from football, ice hockey and golf..and they even have slots past midnite that is filled with the menu loop..

exactly..havent seen darts in HD yet i think..Sky Sports now has darts in 3D..imagine the dart flying at u..haha..so yeah..sports certainly has lot of content to offer in HD..its up to the provider such astro to find a good deal for the rights and bring it to us..they could and should take advantage of sports to promote HD..and i mean really take advantage by providing different kinds of sports for different fan following..

Price increase ? I too guess so ! They might target Sports pack again for sure cos 60% are sports subsribers and they might increase the charges to include HD services bcos the current system is controversial cos if u take just the family or just one pck u still pay RM20 for HD though there is only one HD channel.

I'm hear from somebody that working for astro so i think it realiable source. But not sure they lie to me or not.
They said a decision is depand on board meeting next week and also must get approval from government.

No point to start a hatred because nothing can be proof yet.

Let me RANT here....regarding my Astro Beyond...!!!


1) Failure to record / (Maybe due to Astro PVR hang)

I am on vacation from Saturday til Wednesday....
When i come back, it didn't record all my booked episode on SUnday till wednesday...
and I have to restart my PVR since it didn;t respond to my remote.

So, possible it hang while recording...!!!


2) My stored programme MISSING!!!

On last Friday before going home to hometown, i noticed that i have 210 hours recording time left...
When i get back on Sunday...suddenly 220 hours left.....without i delete anything...

then when i scroll, some of earlier programme that i'm yet to watch already GONE!!!!!

I'm really mad....

+ some other programme during the weekend also have failure to record...



3) Series LINK

Justin said it already fixed that it will only record one episode only...
but that link is still useless.......it record everything including repeat....in channel 701, and 721.....
(and possible the reason some of other programme booked is not recorded)


4) Unable to record due to Unavailable Information in planner

When i want to hometown last friday, I want to record something in channel 104.....
unfortunately, there is no available information....(only on channel 104, 105, 106)

It could be because of the guide not updated yet...
In MAX, there is information updating function.....but there is no such thing in PVR...
In MAX, there is also Manual Planner.....but there is no such thing in PVR...

Therefore, there is no WAY that i can record the programme that i want, if that programme is not on the guide planner...

I think he using external HDD PVR.
Some problem happen just like me. But i'm not experience stored programme MISSING yet.

Is it series link problem only involved external HDD PVR only?
