On Sunday CS called me and said that they will be downloading new software within 3 weeks. They also said they will waive the fees paid so far from the time of the faulty recordings. Last night the decoder rebooted and then I saw that it showed " New PVR recording softwrae downloaded" Since then the recording seems to be working fine. Am keeping my fingers crossed

Yeah i notice this word also. But when i reboot it again, that word are gone. Quiet weird huh.

How CS will know time of faulty recording?
BTW, I'm planning to bring my decoder at astro CS this weekend. Showing my PVR problem and want hear what they are going to say.

I think as the software has already been downloaded and installed you will not get the message every time you reboot.

I guess the time of the faulty recordings will be from the time that the customer lodged a complaint with Astro. Actually they are well versed with this problem now as more people started complaining. Initially not many customers using ext HD recording facility and the problem was not taken seriously. My decoder was changed twice and only on the third complaint that they realized that the problem was not with the decoder, nor the ext disk but the software. They may still be trouble shooting and I think it was very fair of them to waive the charges.

i have a bad news for you. I've seen an advertisment on discovery travel and living, it's said it will be replaced by TLC from 1st sept onward. I think real or not.

yup..on both ESPN HD nad also Supersport HD..astro will announce their EPL coverage in the next few days before Saturday,,might be as early as tomorrow
