Update: New Astro subscriber can straight apply for Byond package with RM199 for the installation charges. No need to subscribe with normal Astro package first before upgrade to Byond.

I've been waiting for 1mth to get Astro installed at my hometown and they keep saying "no stock" and untiil today when I called them they told me that I can get Byond but need to pay Rm199.

If new customer getting B.yond, they have call 1-300-82-9888 first.

How bad can u get..???
Astro FB people really need to be replaced or at least keep up to date with the current issues regarding themselves..

When asked about when astro Supersport 3 was going to be launched, they replied they dont have plans for Supersport 3..I was laughing at this while reading it..The astro CEO lady already said they are gonna launch it..heck..even Nadi Arena have advertised football matches for the new channel..

Morale of story..Astro FB guys are an unreliable source

Astro FB now says they will have Supersport3 to show simultaneous EPL matches..again..dont trust those guys too much..one minute they say one thing..another minute they will say another..but this might be true according to what we have known before this..

A new channel has been added..channel 804..Astro Supersport+..this could be what they meant by Supersport3

Channel 804 start already in astro but without any broadcast....

Weird. Usually the channel have "menu loop" first.

I would like to know, currently I have one astro b.yond account, while my parent's house is on standard astro account, can I buy an extra b.yond dish and receiver to replace the old one on my parent's house so that I can just take the decoder back to my parent's house and enjoy HD?

no need bro..just take back ur current byond decoder, smartcard, power adapter, HDMI cable and remote..then plug in your parents dish..byond decoder can use with normal dish..if your parnts use old CRT television can also use..just use their yellow, red white cable..

I tried but no signal detected.

How old are the dish at your parent house?

Two Malay chanels are xpected, as usual a Malay HD channel and another both In House as anticipated ! ( Source Malay Wikipedia on Asstro) THey just love In House !!!

One thing i don't like about beyond...
the channel that u press, must enter correctly otherwise can't go to channel that u want to..
normally i will press for the easier number for instances, 400 for movies, 800 for sport that will automatically go to the nearest channel..
but with beyond, i cant do that..

This issue was highlighted to Tall Justin but looks like we take it as it is or leave it ! Even the first decorders had the feature to go to the nearest channel now looks like sit down and memorise all channel nembers, but no thought was given for the old and disabled folks, like they say they seem so smart but stupid actually

All your posts seem to curse, snap, and be pissed at Astro, but you still subsribe to them. Why don't just cut Astro and subscribe to 4MB Streamyx and get all your contents from the net?

Bro !! Johor no Unifi and wat choice we have on Unifi either ! But I think my criticsims are not unfounded or baseless, I just blast ooff hoping for changes which wld benefit all of us, ONE malaysia Mah !! Look at 4mb pricing thats a bomb !! Anything which exceeds RM100pm shld be given a second thought !!

4MB line is available through Streamyx also, at RM140 per month unlimited. What's RM140 if you can get all the HD and SD contents you want without censorship, without ads, without rain-fade and with near real-time broadcast from overseas?

Rain fade issue is less hassle than using old dish.
