Usually it depends.

If the airport offers airbridge, then usually the front one will get out first, unless they have double airbridge for front and back door.

If there is a shuttle, alot of the times they will open up the front door but occassionally the back door will be opened.

You can actually click on a dummy date and then when you reach the luggage & food section, click on to check on the price of both.

FYI, price do not differ if you book the luggage/food when you book the ticket OR if you want to change it later to bigger/smaller luggage weight or different food.

Please go to Manage My Booking and change it from there.

I've changed my food option just a week ago with no extra charge (as i've paid for the food when booking the air ticket in February). Also provided that what you've chosen is the same price as you've paid. Else have to top up.

You can just print out your updated itinerary from manage my booking after making amends.

looks like AA gonna charge passenger RM10 for every check-in doh.gif

QUOTE
KUALA LUMPUR: No frills airline, AirAsia Bhd, will charge a RM10 check-in fee per passenger for all flights whose bookings are made from Sept 21 onwards via conventional check-in counters.

The airline said the additional charge was part of its plan to aggressively grow revenue through ancillary income and services, instead of transferring the full cost, amid escalating jet fuel prices to its passengers.

However, the charge is not applicable for passengers opting for self check-in.

“Passengers may enjoy quicker and more convenient ways of checking-in via web on www.airasia.com, or mobile through apps on Blackberry, iPhone and Android devices,” said AirAsia in a statement today.

The apps can be downloaded by searching for the keyword “AirAsia” in the Blackberry App World, iTune App Store and Android Marketplace.

Web and mobile check-in are available upon flight booking confirmation and up to one hour before scheduled departure for AirAsia flights.

For AirAsia X, check-in will be available upon flight booking confirmation and up to four hours before scheduled departure.

This fee applies to all AirAsia domestic and international flights originating from airports in Malaysia.

As for AirAsia X, counter check-in charges will apply for flights departing from the airline’s base in Kuala Lumpur and at all airports the airline operates except in Tokyo (Haneda) and Osaka (Kansai) in Japan, Seoul (Incheon) in South Korea and Tehran (Iran).

I guess AA just wants to encourage the passengers to make use of their online/self check in kiosk so they won't have hire more manpower since there are more and more ppl flying with them...

I guess I'll have to check in online from now onwards to avoid that fee.

Actually if unable to check in online - can always use the check in kiosk available at LCCT. biggrin.gif That way you still save RM10!

Can anyone confirm if the pre-meals booking are actually cheaper? For my Paris flight, the meals add-on price is MYR20 from KUL-ORY but RM50 from ORY-KUL ???

Looking at the AirAsiaX menu - frm KUL is only RM13 for meal and RM4 for mineral water. Or is it because there will be two servings?

That one i never notice.

It will be more expensive from Europe to KL because the food is actually ordered from departure country itself.

Refer here: http://www.airasia.com/my/en/flightinfo/aaxmealdesc.html

Sometimes if you don't pre-book, they might run out of meals (IF a passenger buys a few meals la) and you would end up being hungry the whole flight.

How about the return trip from the country? the check in fee applicable to LCCT/locally only or from destination airport as well?
