QUOTE(Everdying @ Aug 18 2010, 06:36 PM) i think u may be the odd one out, cos im sure at least 90% here wouldnt mind paying USD10 extra for a mechanical kb marauder probably more for portability... seems to be lighter, and a much smaller footprint compared to blackwidow.. not to mention the blings while playing SC2.. LOL.. |

Added on August 18, 2010, 11:13 pmThe Razer BlackWidow Ultimate is a step up from the original edition with the added feature of individually backlit keys with 5 levels of lighting, so players will never miss a step in the dark while giving them the cutting edge to launch assaults and flank foes even in low light conditions. Its full mechanical key architecture with an actuation point halfway through the full travel distance of 4mm, combined with its distinct tactile feedback that simulates a mouse click, allows the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate to provide gamers a keyboard that responds like no other. The ultra robust construction, fully programmable keys, 5 additional macro keys, and on-the-fly macro recording round off this revolutionary gaming keyboard. The Ultimate keyboard also includes 3.5" audio and microphone out jacks as well as an additional USB port. Now, the fate of your game is all at your fingertips with the BlackWidow Ultimate. It's gonna be a fingerprint/scratch magnet again for sure, like most of razer products.
The good thing about "normal" mechanical keyboards is that you can replace the keys, but i don't think you can for this keyboard (unless razer is gonna sell spare keys). Anyway, i already expected razer to come up with a mechanical keyboard because steelseries's 6gv2 tramples over razer's membrane keyboards like cheap plastic. |

80USD for a mechanical keyboard? Seems like a good deal right there.
