As for me, I have terrible luck with Razer products. My 3 mice all failed on me within 1 year.

If Razer can come out with a mechanical keyboard that is in the 6Gv2's price point then it'll be something.

I don't know about you guys but I think Boomslang sales are down because they're just butt ugly compared to the newer Razers.

But I seriously find Razer's liking to use low profile keys a con as they don't have enough travel distance when typing so not really shiok.

Just think of it as 2 companies addressing different taste. SS has a no-nonsense approach while Razer likes to bling their stuff up.

Actually, both Razer and SS are rock-solid gaming eqs. But, having owned gears from both sides i have to say, 60% of my purchase probability lies with Razer.

Why? They got bling bling mang.. brows.gif

For me, i always feel like i'm buying something more than just a gear with Razer.

EDIT: think of it this way, if you will.

SS = German cars. Purpose built, high performance.

Razer = Lamborghini. They've got the looks that matches the performance.

Besides, Razer is more well known in these here parts. Based on an observation I've done in game in Sudden Attack, 90% of players know what Razer is. However, most do not know what SS is about.

Personally it's all the luck of the draw. 3 of my Razer products failed on me within 1 year. However no problems with SS or Gigabyte gear thus far.

Actually, fanboyism is not very prevalent here. Most of us know to go where the grass is greener.

Some cases like me are quite supportive of 1 side as the other side gave bad experience to the user but still we use both brands.

Carcharias is uber comfortable when compared to the 4H, sound quality is better but of course, the price is still higher.

The premium in price is subjective. I would think it depends on individual perception. Ever considered the AW TactX headset? Basically a rebadged 5Hv2 but retailing less than RM300.

I only bottom out keys while gaming. For typing, usually not as often.
