Just got word that Titanium Backup can back every setting, app, data, email, smses on you phone and apparently it can backup your mom too. Really kaaa?

If that's true, i'm gonna root the crap out of my desire tonight. Really cannot tahan already. HTC, i'm gonna hate you forever for delaying OTA in Asia and forcing me to root.

Someday you probably have to teach me how to do this, when the 2.2 OTA comes closer. So far no announcement from HTC SEA right? I will stick to LeeDroid for a while. smile.gif

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696189 - read post 4, basically you just run the exe and plugin your phone to flash (of course, run backup before that)

Just make sure you grab this RUU if yours is Maxis set, then no gold card is required smile.gif

It can recover most of the things I would say... just a lengthy process if you have plenty of stuffs in your existing system

Yeah, I reverted back to Asia stock ROM with 2.1 (unroot) and will wait patiently for 2.2 OTA now sad.gif
*
What is the reason you unroot back? Not satisfied? I am getting impatient for the 2.2 OTA and thinking about rooting tongue.gif

Btw, for the official rooted FroYo, do we still need the EXT3 partition?

No. Problem due to GSC website accepting only Mozzila / IE / Chrome. Not even Fennex or Opera works. Tested even on the iPhone tongue.gif

You mean its only a problem, if you want to change to another custom ROM? smile.gif Cause i am worried that the Rooted Froyo are not exactly stable.

Anyone getting some websites thinking your Desire is an iPhone when surfing with the standard Webkit browser?

Rooted Froyo is stable smile.gif

I don't know why I had that CWM / RM problem, I could do recovery once since I faced problem on Leedroid, but it went corrupted for some reasons and re-flashing the recovery tool didn't seem to work. By flashing it to the official Asia ROM (1.19) means I can receive OTA if any, right?

Too late dude... I already flashed back to stock RUU and re-doing everything again

Thanks for your help though - I think I will avoid ROM Manager for now as I believe it corrupted my CWM recovery

A question not related to rooting or flashing for once since the past 20 post... hehehehe...

Anyone here using LauncherPro Plus? If I backup homescreens and settings, I get a prompt saying

"Due to limitation in the Android system, homescreen widgets cannot be backed up. When restored, widgets will need to be manually re-added to your homescreens. Would you like to continue? = YES / NO?"

Really is this a limitation for anyone who had use this? Cause I dont wanna setup a nice homescreen just to redo it later. Then why they put in the backup feature?

Additionally, if I wanna revert back to Sense UI. How?

Ahh great. My first experience with LeeDroid aint that great either cause its very battery hungry. Gonna wait till the weekend and if the OTA Froyo aint here by then, gonna flash to the rooted OTA Froyo smile.gif
