I want to join the darkside too by rooting and install leedroid. I have downloaded the ROM file from XDA forum. How do I install it in my Desire? Is there any newbie guide on this? I searched but did not find any. Pls help.

Hi Bro, I have checked on the link and downloaded all the required files. I have some queries.

1. How do I create partition Ext 3?

2. I checked LeeDroid thread and found that Leedroid 1.7 requires a new radio. I have downloaded that too. What is the step I should take? Install Radio first as per the blog guide and then install the ROM?

1) Download a program from the market called ROM Manager. In order to use this, you must root your phone first. Then, using ROM Manager, there is an option to create a partition. Enter Ext3 - 512MB and Swap - 0MB.

2) You can do it either way. I personally flash the ROM first before installing the new Radio. And follow this guide :

http://smarty-money.blogspot.com/2010/07/g...ustom-roms.html

Flashing of Radio is exactly the same process as flashing a ROM.

Hi! I'm new to Android phone. I have used WM phone before, and currently switched to Nokia E72. But i don't like the Symbian interface, i miss the WM features like display the appointments & tasks on the home screen. Also, the SPB financial management software. Not sure HTC Desire have the above features and financial software?

Welcome to the club rclxms.gif

To display task list on homescreen, several apps there in market, you may try astrid task.

Im not sure what SPB financial management software provides but you may search similar apps from Market as well. Good luck biggrin.gif
