I suggest you to either, try getting a Ubuntu Live CD, which doesn't require installation or get yourself an XP. I tried Unrevoked with XP without any problem smile.gif And its aint too hard to do it with Linux either. All you need is to start the terminal / download the Unrevoked, one click and you are done smile.gif

Btw, which rooted original FroYo are you guys using?

great to see u joining the "darkside" btw rclxms.gif. You should have a try at Neophyte and Leedroid roms. They both are very active at updating and considered the rom of the people. They follow up with users request and done some customizing a lil bit (except on neophyte which is using the expressobar mod). Both have done well releasing good sense froyo rom since the froyo leak.

Guys, just a question. Once I rooted using Unrevoked, it will keep having the root right ?

Cause I come across the reading the unrevoked only root for some time and enough time for flashing ROMs only unsure.gif

Hi all, earlier I was using Nokia N82 phone (Symbian OS). I used to get a notification on my screen (CALL WAITING) if the person I am calling is currently engage/on call. However, after I switched to HTC Desire, this notification doesn't appear. Is there a special way to enable this? Or can this be triggered by any applications?

Sorry, I am kinda backdated and don't really following up this thread. Apologize, if this had been discussed earlier. Wonder if anyone here faces the similar issue?

NOTE:
- The other person has already enabled the call-waiting feature.
- It’s sensibly not an operator issue, as it has been functioning on the other phone (Nokia) * Same SIM.
- SETTINGS--->CALL----->ADDITIONAL SETTINGS-----> Check the Call Waiting box. (already done it) as the matter of fact, It's been working fine for me (when I am on call).

I had posted this question at android's forum. Unfortunately no one could answer me on this. Hopefully lowyat's sifus could enlighten the way.  Thanks  icon_question.gif

Downloading Leedroid 1.7 now... maybe I should give it a try later

With phone rooted and new radio installed, I guess I just need to run titanium backup, nandroid backup and flash the ROM, then restore titanium backup right?

If I don't really need A2SD+, i don't really have to partition my SD card right?

Really starting to envy those who can just root at will. I'm giving HTC till the end of Aug. No OTA by then, I shall root.

Hold on a lil bit more i guess dude b4 flashing to Leedroid, there is not much thing included yet. Its a fresh build by Leedroid based on the new official froyo rom. It will get better day by day i must say. Just keep checking at both of the devs (leedroid and neophyte). No harm trying leedroid now but i guess its not much different "yet" compared to the ones ur using. Have a look at the old froyo sense rom by these two developers and you will see the progress from them and the changelogs which is quite impressive i must say showing and proving their commitment at ROM developing. So many improvements and fixed time by time. That is just what we need from a ROM, support and fixes.

Try a2sd+, it is a great feature which perhaps all rooted user will use, definitely! Native a2sd wont do much compared to a2sd+ as even on froyo a2sd, you will run out of space too. Ive tried froyo a2sd previously but i still dying on internal space later after installing games and apps. I cant confirm that you dont have to, need someone else to confirm this one or u can try also asking on that thread since its still early in the morning here so not much users will be reading ur response now. Some rom with a2sd might just work without the ext3 partition but do have a check on that to avoid boot loops which i saw happened to a few users skipping partitioning their SD. Maybe its due to rom specific either it works with unpartitioned or not.

One problem with LeeDroid that i have on my short time with it was its really battery hungry and i have no idea why. And there are several people in XDA that reported the same problem. Even worse than OpenDesire to be honest. smile.gif But functionality, by far better than the OpenDesire one last time.
