so the price on 85mm SAM is critical, if its the same price range as the Third Party 90mm~105mm range(mostly macro) then it is very hard to competitive against each other unless it focus much faster and has decent sharpness at F2.8 without stop down (as what Sony 100mm and 50mm does)

Weight shouldn't be a problem, but why is it heavier ah? Different body build? Magnesium? Or it's bigger than normal SLR's?

LOLed at "wtf! y so heavy! ", thats what we get all the time from non SLR users.

gawd, i hope so.. since its not a 1:1 macro..

add on: the price looks very delicious... provided the focusing is fast (lets all hope so), the quoted price of £200 is RM1200+/- with the currency now. which is sure to be lower seeing that price is direct sony pricing. the link earlier states that it could hover around £175, which is basically around RM870... NEW..

the sal85f2.8 SAM definately cheaper then SAL100 F2.8 M.

and it is possible for SAL85SAM to be more expensive then Sp90 because SAL100marco already wayyy pass that price range.
