just got my convo pics.. as expected..the photo produced not up to my noob standard..

basic framing & composition out..pics a bit tad not sharp..so expensive some more..forked out another rm30 for the soft copy..

as for the candid pics..some pictures are blurry..OOF..got obvious red eye..they also dare print out and put in the album to let the graduates choose..

yea the salesgirl din force me buy the soft copy, just 'persuaded me gently' only ma.

mine was Foto Prime. from KL. konnonya got Malaysia of Book records awards some more. yes! ur words are all true! the shots all like PnS. harsh lit subjects with dark dark background. apparently they dunno how to use high iso, or their cheap bodies can't produce noiseless pics at high ISO?

i paid rm200. other students rm270? about 1700 graduates. that's about 450K!! can't those idiots get D3s/a900/5D mark 2/1ds mark 3 with super lenses instead of entry level bodies with cheapo kit lens and take our pictures??! okla to be fair.. i saw ONE guy with a 5DM2 with 24-70 L. the rest..... again, to be fair, i know most of you here can get beautiful pictures with kit lens as well, but they totally fail la.

i didn't frame my photo though..thank goodness this is my alevel convo only..hope my degree convo won't screw up..

for the candid shots, yes you pay later. but for the group shots, the shots where u shake hand with chancellor while receiving scroll, have to pay first.

fuuuuu laa...then make us go alllllll the way to their freaking isolated shop to collect the photos some more..so that they can 'persuade' us to buy more photos since we are already in their shop.. last time all done at the uni itself including the returning of gowns..

i flipped all the candid photos. they didn't even touch up one bloody photo ok?? OOF and red eye and students with weird looking poses and faces they also dare to publish.

if they charge rm50 per person, then i keep quiet lor.

but this company charge rm200-rm270, got what Malaysia book of Awards, got ISO 9001:2008, UKAS Quality management, since 1983 some more..

and u get crappy shots... i think i have all the right to make my point gua?

to let you guys know that you all are much much MUCH better that those stupid proclaimed professional photographers.

photo sizes are usually differentiated by how many 'R's...

4R,5R,6R,8R,12R.. its not common to refer the sizes with paper size

nope. for the stage shot just normal flash gun. with f5.6 and high iso.iso 640 for my shot. make the gown look damn noisy.

for the group photo of 900 graduates, they used one err..i dunno the correct term.. its a light bulb which can act like a flash. quite small also.

last time i attended KBU's convo at 1 world hotel, at least look more pro.

got bring 2 big big softboxes for the event.

dunno about the picture quality though. they also using entry-mid level bodies and cheap lenses.

entire U lo..haha.. they want fast also shouldn't jeopardize picture quality ma

too bad their camera so-so..lens so-so.. and lighting also sucks...

didn't you saw what kind of monstrous lighting they used? and the super face-uplifting software?

if only they know how to burst n choose the best shots.. at least the 'sleeping' guy at the left of the pic would look slightly better..

they cropped badly as well..usually the receiver of the scroll should be in the middle of the picture? maybe they breaking rules of third i guess?

the iso is a bit too much as u can see the gown is covered with noise.

i think the clone stains came from my dirty scanner.. i dun think they even bothered to do cloning.. my guess was..the pic is cropped and auto levels/colours...ahh well..what is done is done..

can be my photographer for my degree in 4 years time?
