And so will iP5/6/7 etc. I'm now wondering if they will still offer the prepaid plan. Otherwise, I will consider SG set since I only use RM30-50/month.

why wouldnt they? did they stop the prepaid plan with 3GS? no they did not, maxis somehow is set to give customer choices, iPhones with 1 or 2 year contract and also without contract, why wouldnt they change this?

@eugenechiuu,
I'm sure when the time comes they'll start charging U.  U sure ur 1 year period is up?
*
Yes, I am sure 1 year period is up already since I was the very 1st person to get the Maxis 3GS in KK last time and it was on the 31st July 2009...

Is priority given to people who take the contract when pre-ordering? I hope Maxis will be fair and serve the Non-contract customers the same and not put us on waiting list.

@deekaytv,
Well.. there's bound to be some sacrifices, right?! And unless the problem is v much problematic one shouldn't need to worry. Of course it helps given local warranty; it's just peace of mind biggrin.gif

Er.. Y suddenly the discussion become satellite phone topic?!

@orangbulu,
If ur friend ain't on WiFi he'll get a "missed call" or a note telling him someone tried to FaceTime with him [at least that's what I've been told; I've never personally experienced it].  If ur friend doesn't have FaceTime capabilities then the call will just not connect!

yes, tats wat happen to me yesterday, notice a missed call(wasnt on wifi), but under the tabs of facetime
so i facetime him back

So did the facetime work? Or was it an iPhone4 issue again?

as long as the sky is clear, u can use satellite phone.

same applies to the gps technology. as long as there are no interruption between the satellite and the gps receiver.

Oh well. Doesn't our telcos uses satellite too? But there's no line in jungles or places that are not under coverage.

Does most telcos use transmitting towers? Or it's just telcos in Malaysia? Man, it's like we're forever behind other technologies.
