Hey! my iphone4 contract with maxis is ending soon and I'm not sure on what it does after the contract expires, for those here who experienced this, normally what do you reckon?

Continue or downgrade the plan or etc. ? need some advice..

Either normal Value plus plan or continue sign for another IValue plan.

If u are not use the 3G service alot then u might use the normal Value plus plan better. smile.gif

Your issue is same as me..my contract also expiring this sept 2011..As what i'm told by the staff in Maxis KLCC,if nothing is done by user to renew or terminate the contract, maxis will charge normally using the current plan,in our cases is iValue plan until we renew the contract officially..i'm thinking to go back to maxis klcc to get further info on this

Let's say you are using iValue2 now (RM155 + 2GB).
Monitor your usage pattern, voice/sms = how much ? data = MB ?
Let's say you talk very little 50 min per month, and use 500MB per month.

Once your contract finish, and you got no plans to buy another contract-phone, or wait for iPhone5, as mentioned, Maxis will charge the same iValue2 plan on a monthly basis.

Therefore, based on usage pattern, let's say e.g. above, you can downgrade to iValue1 without penalty.
Or, you can switch to other package/promo.
Or, you can switch to other telco if not satisfied with maxis.
Or, you can sign up another contract-package to get another "so called subsidised phone"

The choice is yours smile.gif

Ah, how does the normal value plus plan works? how much does it costs? Have not got the time to go over to maxis klcc to ask about this yet.

I'm currently using ivalue 1 now, expiring in October..

As for me there are one problem with my iPhone 4. Can't slide to answer it hang there. When I walk in to Maxis in Pyramid they just reset my phone and the problem still exists even after all the major updates. After that I just couldn't bothered to go back.

Recommend you to wait until this fall. iPhone 5 will be launching in a matter of time. Otherwise after you sign contract with the telco then you regret later on brows.gif

Yes, it's better to be confirm than taking trouble travel back there again. Eventually the SA will get frustrated and impatient.

Therefore, if you want to stick with maxis, you need to find a monthly plan that is lower than iValue 1, which has sufficient call plan + data plan to cover your current usage. Otherwise, it'll be expensive if exceed data usage.

hi guys, my iphone 4 was purchased from maxis a mnth ago.

i have not dropped the phone before. but when i shake it, it produces this ticking sound on the top part.

some ppl say it could be due to the power button or mute button which is loose. but even when i hold the buttons tight, i can still hear the ticking sound in the phone.

can i claim warranty from maxis then?
