Hey. I have an iPhone 4 now on a hotlink prepaid line. I bought it overseas so I am not eligible for the free 500mb per month Internet.

Now I am wondering what are the plans that suits me, for postpaid. Ivalue and idata plans are on contract right?

That means I have to go for normal value and data plans like other phones? Hmmm. I am wondering what's the best option I have now.
*
going on ivalue plans are better since the data and voice are reasonable and rates are better than in prepaid ones..

Guys,

If in the itemised billing, a description is shown as "Digi Southrn", does it mean the person that I called located at southern part, and if the number happens to be in KL/central, it will be shown as "Digi Central"?

So if I go into an ivalue plan. Must I go into a 12/ 24 months contract?

I'm considering this ivalue plan. But it does not come with SMS charges. I might have a problem there because I SMS overseas a lot. In that case I will get heavily charged on foreign SMS plus with the I value plan. It's gonna cost a bomb?

Your bill should cutoff on 12/12 or 12th of every month then...may need 2 to 3 days after that to get your bill.

Contracts are only applicable if you buy iPhones...if you go for only the plans, then you're not bound by the contract..in other words, you can terminate anytime...no penalty fee.

On overseas SMS, sorry can't help u there...I am not familiar with those, so far when my friends (Maxis user) go overseas, I sms them, I was only charged local rates.

I suggest you using the iDataUsage app. It helps you keep track of your data usage and will automatically send reminder if your usage exceeds.

This is not very accurate. I think the wifi data also is included in it. Mine was 512MB yesterday but nothing was minused.

WiFi data are not included in the usage calculation. It's only for mobile data albeit not that accurate. Try turning off 3G and Cellular data and only use WiFi, you will see the data counter will not increase. Your case might be from an app running in the background that's using the data or from push notification/mail.

Answer is a yes since it has nothing to do with Digi anyway...unless you wanna port your digi number over then its a different story.

Hi, i have 2 funny situations in the pic below:

1) There have been frequent credit and debit of GPRS data - no idea whether it's normal.
2) The first amount charged in the phone is RM2.00 although i have 3G. Does this happen when there's no coverage for 3G? If yes, how do i know when there is no 3G coverage?

Hi guys, may i know how do i activate Itemised Billing? I have checked under my Value Added Services and Itemised Billing is checked but i do not get my bill with my call/SMS/3G usage details.

However, it is stated there "If you have previously registered for E-Billing, Itemised Billing will be waived from your monthly bill statement. To continue receiving bill statement via email, Itemised Billing must be subscribed. "

Please help me out here. sad.gif
