QUOTE(liverpool red @ Dec 15 2010, 09:58 AM) Good feedack. I'm actually using digi's Internet Unlimited 15. Not bad actually. Been keeping check on my usage and it's only around 150mb per week. And I don't on my 3G or cellular data all the time and use wifi as when it's available. Hence 1gb per month never enough? If you only use your iphone to surf heavily and without any youtube, 300-400MB should be enough. But then, the data allowance given by our local telco is pitiful. In singapore they give you 12 GIG a month. I reckon the data limit will be increased sooner or later due to competition when Celcom kicks in their Iphone this month. Maxis Ivalue1 started with 500 Mb during the Iphone 3Gs time , but was increased to 1 gig 1 year later. The data limit will definitely increase in future, but don't expect the price to come down though.

I realized that if you intend to download app / games from App Store or 'other sources', even 3GB is not enough because iPhone app / games are HUGE! Game easily is 200MB, even GPS software is 200MB! Therefore, I advice new iPhone users to download via WiFi whenever possible! By doing so, 1GB or 3GB makes not much difference as regular usage like surf net, facebook, youtube, GPS will not even exceed 500MB.

YEs they will twice, once when you reached 800+Mb and another one when you hit 1Gb. Lucky if that latter sms sent on the day you bill cycle end/start so you wont be charged extra.

My phone works fine but when I shake it by my ears, I can hear something moving inside. I tried with my friends' phone and it didnt happen.
I've only bought it for 3 days, am I entitled to a 1-to-1 exchange?

RM125 is your pro-rated bill for 2 days (11/11 -13/11) RM130.40 is your first bill (14/11 to 13/12)
So remember 14th is your bill cycle date ok.
Maxis very pandai one to kena people by suka suka give bill cycle date at their own will, so you kena RM125 for prorated bill because you dont have that 333m or 1GB data but prorated for 2 days only.
You already used so much for that two days (i know i was gatal too, to use Iphone when first got it, end up bill disaster)

QUOTE(hafez13 @ Dec 18 2010, 01:42 PM) Is there any apps for checking how many data u used? If your phone is jailbroken, there's application you can download/buy from Cydia to keep track of your data. This is my first post here. I'm not sure if jailbreak topic is allowed. Please kindly remove my post if it's not allowed. By the way, I'm bringing an Iphone 4 back from USA and I was wondering if I can get into one of those Iphone plans offered by Maxis or there is another plan for customers who already have their own Iphone. Thank you in advance for the answer.

They will use the plan but it was prorated, say 2/30 days x 1024Mb = 68.27Mb only.
If you used 68.27Mb data only within that 2 days then u only pay prorated ivalue1 bill RM100/30 x 2 = RM6.7 + for that 2 days.
But If you used say 100Mb (100Mb - rebate 68.27Mb = 31.73Mb)
That extra Mb was not free it is RM5.12 per Mb so you have to pay 31.73 x RM5.12 = RM162.46
So your prorated bill will be RM6.7 + RM 162.46 + etc = RM167.16 + etc
Of coz the calculation is just roughly to explain the situation, maxis has their own calculation table where they include some other things. like their 1 GB is not 1024Mb but 1050Mb etc.

Hi,
A bit concern about the billing from maxis as i'm getting my Iphone 4 end of this month.
Just to reaffirm, the ivalue package actually takes a few days to get activated? I can check the billing date from their CS hotline?
Thanks in advance.

Your line will be activated within few hours or even sooner if you re not port-in customer. No you cant check until they actually bill you. Remember the bill cycle date is not the activation date or date of purchase. It s a special date that maxis suka suka choose for you so that you will kena!
