Well the Play as A Guest is not same as Guest Pass. Guest Pass will allow you to play the full game both single and multiplayer for a limited time (14 days or 7 hours, which ever comes first). Play as A Guest on the other hand allows us to play the Single Player mode when we don't have access to the internet. Refer following screens:

I'm not sure about piracy issue though, i'd imagine the feature would be disabled until the first time we logged into Battlenet. smile.gif

I have just purchased the digital version for US after reading so much problems with SEA servers, besides in the beginning I already do plan to play in US servers. Has anyone here done the same?
