I have just purchased the digital version for US after reading so much problems with SEA servers, besides in the beginning I already do plan to play in US servers. Has anyone here done the same?

correct. My previous experience with SC1 on US servers was pretty good, hope its even better now because our connection speed is faster now than 10 years ago. At that time was not laggy and they do have a lot of players, but of course during our day time will be lesser as will be their midnight time. Since, most if not all SEA players will quickly jump ship to US when the region lock is unlocked, then it makes sense to me to get the US version now than wait for the door to open (when it could be delayed for no apparent reason & SEA players cant do anything about it, you know?)

US59.99. the only hassle is downloading 6.99GB the US client taking me about 12 hours to complete for me.

yes, have to re-download the US client although I have previously downloaded the SEA version. Don't know why they have to make it so complicated.

last night after downloading US client for 12 hours, I was able to play 2vAI mode in the US server, smooth and did not dc for 1 1/2 hours of playing time. so far it has been working out fine.
