What you want in a phone, first is battery life right? And with a smartphone, battery drains really fast. With 1300 mAh, even faster.. So desire would be better although its older. But if u wan a bigger screen, then I cant stop u

hi, i wonder should i get the htc desire now, or wait for a better phone later? i know desire HD/Z would be a newer option, but i thnk 4.3" is too big 4 me, and i definitely dun like qwerty keyboard..?

good morning ppl, need some opinion. Always been using basic phone, plan 2 change 2 a smartphone, budget around rm1k-rm1.5kmax. Had in mind for nokia c6-01, swave s8500, & serics xperia x10. Which 1 better in terms of picture snap,video capture, & speaker volume? And how much are those? thx a lot.

i want to ask, under 1k, android smartphone which is nice to use
xperia x8 is very nice but camera i heard is bad
x10 mini come with good camera but low resolution...
if possible, i dun wan optimus one cause its LG @@

X8 seems better than x10 mini IMO. Camera good or not depends on what you use it for. IMHO, no phone camera can give you the level of satisfaction a real camera can.. If your camera is only use for sending mms pic, I think X8 or X10 mini can do the job well...

Desire Battery sucks very fast lar....one day habis...if active angry bird, half a day also habis...

Smartphone power cannot last long...coz do too many things....

btw, i am deciding between the following for my wife:

1) Iphone 4
2) HTC Desire HD
3) Samsung Galaxy S

HTC Desire HD - great UI, 768MB RAM ( currently i think it has the highest RAM among all Android phones) but don't like the internal 1.5GB storage....most Android apps needs internal storage and not all apps can be moved to SD card.
SGS - good screen and GPU, 8/16GB internal storage!!! But crappy camera...flash pun tadak..not even an LED...damn cheapskate for such an expensive phone!
Iphone 4 - the almost perfect phone except you have to pay for everything in the app store (unless you only use 'Trial' or 'Lite' versions). But camera better than both DHD and SGS.

But i think wife more lean to iPhone....haha....but i try to poison her 'Android is Better!'.....

Guys.....Let's say my budget's at .....RM3K.

I want a phone that;

1. Is as close to the Blackberry as possible in terms of typing on a physical keyboard.

2. Is as responsive to touch as the iPhones

3. Is much more fun to play around and tweak compared to the iPhone

4. Powerful as hell just cuz .....I duno, cuz if I'm gonna splurge, may as well get the best money can buy at the moment.

I'm currently deciding between,

1. HTC Desire Z.
2. HTC Desire HD.
3. Samsung Galaxy

I really like the Desire Z but it's currently offered only by Maxis which makes it a bummer.

Can anybody tell me why I should NOT get the Desire Z?

Since you have the budget ,i suggest waiting for Motorola ATRIX or LG Optimus Black or SGS 2

Dual-Cores.

The Atrix....I heard was gonna cost way beyond 3K wasn't it?
And does it have a physical keyboard? I'm still researching but if there's any kind souls that can tell me if there's any dual-core phones with a physical keyboard, that's currently available, it'll be great!

$330 pre-order with subsides i heard. So far no dual- cores with physical keyboard. But ATRIX got it's own lappy dock.

Your best bet would be the Desire Z or T-Mobile G2 (same phone with stock android).

Other than that, your out of luck. No announcement of dual-core physical keyboard phones yet.

Lag free ,bug free ? Get desire us ..768mb ram..but its depend on the user on h9w to maintain it

But HTC Thunderbolt is on the Horizon...it's on HTC website liao...got front and back camera, faster CPU, internal storage dunno yet.

1. brand new htc wildfire
2. 2nd/used google nexus one
3. 2nd/used htc desire

actually im on tight budget, my budget is around rm1k~1.2k.

option 1, i think i could get rm1k but what about option 2 & 3? do think i can get below rm1.2k?

Hard to get option 1 and 2 la. Maybe 2nd hand, but you will have very little warranty left on it. HTC wildfire is ur best option.

Only requirement is no lagging n hag..
both price near same if i'm not wrong..
Use as 2nd handphone, so screen size is no problem..
just wanna get one for fun, playing adroid system..
